I got an invite to play golf at a swanky course yesterday. It was a beautiful fall day - Sunny, 65 degrees, light breeze, leaves were starting to pop. The course meanders across a small stream about 7 times, with some elevated tees, and great mountain scenery. I played well and had great company in our foursome. I recorded the Jets game on DVR. I felt a little bad about missing it live as I watch every game live unless I'm travelling or something unavoidable comes up. I followed the score on my phone and quickly realized it was going to be one of those days. After checking in online when I got home, I learned of the absolute carnage. I didn't have the stomach to watch it last night and ruin a great day. Today, I'm wondering if I should watch it at all. Is there any reason why I should?
It's a disaster. Starts bad and ends in a dumpster fire. Total, complete, embarrassment, single handily puts all top brass on firing line. Enjoy!!!
Yes...because it's one of the all-time SOJ games...it's like a car wreck...you want to turn away but morbid curiosity forces you to look.
btw I was at the game...been to numerous Chiefs games since I live relatively close to KC. Most of the Chiefs fans around me were fairly apologetic during the game....that's how bad it was.
The box score says 8 turnovers, but I don't remember any. Jets played great. Tight, exciting contest. A bunch of lead changes, brawls, controversy, and a cheerleader wardrobe malfunction that must be seen to be believed. Definitely watch. Dim the lights, invite the neighbors.
First off there should have been multiple choices should be allowed. Some may want you to set yourself on fire and watch or don't watch the game. Secondly, watch it, it's great. It has everything drama tragedy comedy. You will laugh, cry, throw things. You're going to love it
For maximum carnage effect, time it to end right before the presidential debate...... if you're looking for a true "Wow we're Fuct!" feeling.
Fast forward through the game and just watch the "Peyton on Sunday" commercials. It will be a better experience.
the real question is how much alcohol do you have at your house? because at the end of the half, I was hammered and the 4th, I barely remember watching the game.
Yea. Just fast forward through commercials. Because the commercial in between drives were the most frustrating parts. I know Fitz threw 6 INT's. The first one was costly because Jalin Marshall opened the game with an excellent kick return and we failed to put up any points but the two INT's down 14 inside the 10 yard line were devastating and ruined out chances of a potential greatest road comeback in franchise history. The reason I'd say to watch it is because a football season is like a book and every game is a specific chapter; although chapter 3 was a disheartening nightmare. Do you & your girl enjoy watching scary movies together? If so it's a must watch.
Do you really want to sit through it knowing it will get worse and worse - only good thing about the game - IT IS OVER Here are quotes on NFL.com attributed to Bowles Coach Todd Bowles was understandably in an ornery mood following the 24-3 loss but wasn't putting the poor play on his quarterback's shoulders alone. "It wasn't just the turnovers, we didn't play well at all in either phase of the ballgame and we took an ass kicking," Bowles said during his post-game press conference. "It wasn't just Ryan. I can name a bunch of people and I can start with the coaches too. It was a (expletive) game plan, (expletive) execution, and it was (expletive) all around." Bowles wasn't done ripping his squad. This line from veteran beat writer Rich Cimini - who we usually hate for his pessimism - sums it up well: Unofficially, Bowles had almost as many expletives in his postgame news conference (five) as Fitzpatrick interceptions (six). "When nothing works, you have to change everything," he said. "It was a (expletive) game plan, obviously by the score, and the execution of it was (expletive). You can't point to one thing. You have to get back to the drawing board and coach better." Should never have left Fitz continue after the third INT - there are times when you need to pull the plug but the CS did not - it truely shows how little they believe in Geno. Rotoworld had this write up Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 20-of-44 passes for 188 yards, zero touchdowns, and SIX interceptions in the Jets' Week 3 loss to the Chiefs. It is the most interceptions in a game since Ty Detmer tossed seven in 2001. Needless to say, Fitzpatrick was dreadful Sunday. His stared down his targets, overthrew receivers, and tried to force the ball into tight windows when the offense was not working late in the game. He was intercepted thrice in the end zone, threw two passes that should have been picked in the three plays before his fourth interception, and effectively ended the game with a pick-six late in the fourth quarter. The Jets’ final five drives all ended with interceptions. Fitz has now sandwiched a poor and a career-ending performance around a stellar game in Buffalo. The ups and downs should continue all year, but it will likely be all down next week against the Seahawks. Fitzpatrick was miserable, completing 20 of 44 passes for 188 yards, zero touchdowns, and six INTs for an 18.2 passer rating. His six picks were a career high, surpassing the five that he threw for St. Louis against Minnesota in 2005, and tied a franchise record. I think however I have figured out why Fitz played so bad - he took the Chiefs with the guys in Vegas and bet his signing bonus thinking they would cover easily and he would get his $18 million but then saw that they would not and every time we looked to have a chance he protected his investment - how else would you think the guy all the WRs and Vets routed for would have such a bad game - basically Rotoworld excerpt shows worst display by any QB to play in the NFL for over 15 years
