This thread is for all bashing of Todd Bowles, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Chan Gailey, Mike Maccagnan, Woody Johnson, and Fireman Ed. Post your worst here and keep it out of the new threads you're thinking of making. (I realize I'm also making a new thread, but if this thread saves us the creation of even two others, it's worth it.)

I'm gonna try not to get crazy. Obviously nothing was great, although the defense was pretty good. 10 points all game, and at the mercy of 7 Turnovers.

Like I said before the season, they need to start 3-3. I don't care how they get there.

But this loss is 95% on Fitz. The coaching staff wasn't great, but there isn't much you can do when every pass is in the direction to the defense.

Embarrassing showing, and I'm hoping this lights a fire. This is a game that will make me turn off the TV, but it is still only one game.

Usually the Jets save these type of performances for nationally televised games......

Fitz is what he is. Inconsistent as all hell. Why wasn't he benched earlier? Thats game management. He's a 33 year old journeyman, not a wet behind the ears rookie, he is not gonna cry about it. Bowles should have benched him.

Seriously. After his third INT, there was no reason to put him back out there. After his 4th, there was no way he should have been out there......And yet, time and time again, we got Fitz'ed over.

Fitz was horrible. Throwing into double and triple coverage, consistently locking onto receivers, misreading the defense, poor throws etc. Some of the blame can be placed on the receivers particularly Marshall and Deck not getting open, but the QB needs to adapt and look for the open man which Fitz didn't do.

If he has more of these you move on. Start a youth movement with Petty or Hack.

Fitzpatrick had 5-6 dropped interceptions today. Rather than playing it cool he just kept spraying and praying. As much as I hate to say it, they need to look at the possibility of having to pull Fitz next week. He gets in these chucking funks like a old record stuck in a rut.

I honestly couldn't even believe what I was seeing with him tonight. When Geno went into his funk and tossed 3 in a quarter it was in part due to just being a knuckle head. What Fitz did today may potentially be worse than that debacle. At one point he threw 4 ints on 4 downs, the first 3 were either dropped or carried out of bounds. The really crazy thing is it was the exact same garbage throw each time. You'd think they would call something else or Fitz would give it up and go underneath. Nope.

    This loss was disheartening.

I get it that we have bigger "possession" type receivers in Marshall, Decker, and Enunwa, so Fitz shouldn't be looking for them to get separation, getting position should be enough. Still, fool me once shame on you, fool me 6 times.............

A good deal of this I place on Bowles. Slants working? Let's stop. Three timeouts? Let's not use them.

Fitz is known to do this when down by a lot. The coach should know it.

Coaches wanted him. They know he does this. They put him in the position to do it. If they can't figure it out they shouldn't be coaching.

Which is why after his third pick, it was time to put a big arm out there!

There's no way Hack should see the field this year, and it's too early for Petty. I think he's still injured, anyway. If Fitz starts the next game badly, then have him take a seat on the bench and play Geno. Geno can't be any worse than the Fitz we saw today.

Fitz had no business being out there after the first half performance. None, zero, nada. But going into the 4th quarter, and still watch those putrid attempts make me wonder where in the hell is the CS. For those like me that have publicly humiliated Geno's performance when he threw 3 picks as a 2 year guy I say this. My apologies to you Geno, because Fitz today made you look like Joe Montana. It has sunk the QB position to a new low. A half shoulder Petty would have done far, far better....
The time for change is now. When Petty is ready pull the plug and move on. If not, showcase Geno. I'm now convinced. We will never go far with Fitz. Not far enough.

Why can't we ever have a good QB? Did Joe Namath really curse us for Superbowl III? Can we reverse the curse?
