KC is always a tough place to play. I wish we could have these guys at the Meadowlands....Can't let Alex Smith beat us deep..

Fitz has won at least two times at Arrowhead, maybe three... One of his best games ever was there. So, he's familiar with the noise and pandemonium that a game there always seems to have.

I'm not really worried about the offense handling noise levels. It was deafening Thursday night and they shut them up every single time.

As mentioned on the previous page we're catching a break and very fortunate that Justin Houston will sit out vs. our Jets. He's an absolute monster of a pass rusher. Has recorded 56 sacks during his 5 year career (along with a staggering 22 sacks back in only 2014). He's also averaged 44.6 tackles per season with 8 career forced fumbles.

For a player who only started 10 games his rookie season, missed 5 games during his 3rd year and another 5 games last year his overall numbers and production are off the charts.

Despite a decline in play over the past couple of seasons we'll still have to watch out for Tamba Hail but outside of Tamba, K.C doesn't feature too many pass rushers that I worry about.

Speaking of a pass rush we should really get after Alex Smith with defensive line pressure throughout the entire game. San Diego sacked Smith 3 times while Houston sacked Smith an additional 4 times. K.C could be in serious trouble against the likes of Wilkerson, McLendon, Richardson, Williams and potentially Mauldin from the outside. I'm expecting at least 5 sacks and more importantly constant interior pressure collapsing his pocket.

san diego and houston got to him when they didn't have the threat of a charles screen going 80 yard.

i didn't feel like typing out the stats to try to hide the fact i just looked at them like you do, so i copied and pasted them. but you can see he can be a receiving nightmare and will definitely slow down the pass rush

He's definitely a threat but the question remains how explosive and how much they will use him still remains. He's coming off another monster injury.

Charles will be a shell of his former self until at least midseason. He will be a non-factor in this game.

if he is playing, you have to assume he is 100% until he shows otherwise.maybe he doesn't have the stamina to get 20+ touches but i think he will still be as dangerous with the reps he will get

From a fantasy site I use
"Owners are expecting Charles to return this week and face the Jets at home. Expectations need to be tempered. Up until now, Charles has been practicing with the scout team and has yet to participate in contact drills. It will be important to watch and see how involved he is with the team practice this week. Even when Charles returns, there is no guarantee that he will resume lead backfield duties. Spencer Ware and Chacandrick West are still must own RB's, and RBBC seems highly likely in KC."

If the guy hasn't even started contact drills yet I don't think he will be ready this Sunday

Our pass coverage against HB's coming out of the backfield has been much improved this year when compared to last season.

LeSean McCoy and especially Giovani Bernard are some of the most explosive pass catching HB's coming out of the backfield.

We've held Bernard/McCoy to only 6 receptions for 36 receiving yards & 0 TD receptions thus far.

The reason why we weren't sacking Taylor was because he's extremely mobile and a threat to run therefore we had to play contain and hold our lanes. We couldn't collapse the pocket to our ability due to a threat of over pursuing.

With Dalton not being a threat to run, as Alex Smith, we were still able to sack Dalton 7 times despite the threat of Bernard catching out of the backfield who's put up 148 receptions during his 1st 3 years (an average of 49.3 catches per season).

Charles ability to catch out of the backfield won't change the fact that Wilkerson, McLendon, Richardson and Williams will all look to apply heavy pressure to a QB who's been sacked 7 times over two games in Alex Smith.

KC is a tough team. It's gonna be a fight. It will really help if charles is still out. ware and west don't impress me. Kelce is a good TE, he will be hard to cover. They don't have much at WR though. Smith is a smart Qb who wont make many mistakes or turnovers so don't expect any gifts. Their Defense is tough as well.

Lee might just be the most important player on the field on Sunday. Kansas City loves to neutralize pass rushes by running screens and draws right into them. It's the bread and butter of Andy Reid offenses dating back to Brian Westbrook's rookie year. He loves the short quick passing game. Our corners need to be ready to friggain go. Similar game plan to that of one against Fitzy. Jump the short shit and make him prove he can hit someone in stride running down the field. Limit YAC opportunities as well.

Smith is smart, but he does have small hands. We should be knocking the ball free all night long. I expect a lot of punts and shitty football to be completely honest

If they want to run these quick passes and screens to the WRs we need to be up and ready to jam at the line, throw the timing off. If we sit back like we did vs Cinci and allow them to churn out 4-7 yards a screen we are going to lose.

yea, we held bernard but how much of that was aj green tearing us up and no reason to check down to bernard?

and are you saying alex smith is not a threat to run? i mean he is no mike vick but he averaged 30yds/gm last year and was a duel threat coming out of college.

Andy Reid vs Todd B..well that's a mismatch

Fortunately the players win games and Coaches make decisions..hopefully the right ones

    Probably high scoring game

Folk makes up for Cinci and kicks us to a win

    I agree.

We have a weapon this year designed to attack and shut down things like screens and scrambling QBs. We might see a lot of Lee shadowing Charles on blitzes.

Let them dink and dunk to certain extent no big plays stop them on third down.

offense has to sustain drives do well in the red zone.

the biggest issue i have seen with the Jets in week 1 and 2 is mistakes. They need to play a cleaner football game to beat the chiefs.
