There have been many times in the history of this team that we have all sat there and said "we have the worst luck" and "we just can't catch a break". I have done it time and time again, and I said it about a hundred times last night. But... Let's sit here and thank all the football gods for this one, because we are lucky sons of bitches after that scare. I thought Marshall's season was over and we again were destined for a failed year missing our best offensive weapon. There are many times we are unlucky and many times this team just can't catch a break, but we dodged a HUGE bullet last night. Always acknowledge the times things went in our favor. And last night, we were finally dealt a good card. He is having tests today. I'm also very glad he has plenty of time to recover. Long week coming off the short 4 day week.
Absolutely. He's such a difference maker for this team, and a leader too. Glad it wasn't worse. Sent from my KIW-L24 using Tapatalk
Your knee is t supposed to bend like that.. Players need to be thrown out of the game for plays like that. And we are here arguing about player safety... What a joke.
I am a firm believe that you should always acknowledge the good, especially when your team has a history of very bad karma. This is was a bullet we dodged. A 50 caliber bullet.
Incredible watching him return to the field after that last night. What a lift. But, let's wait for the examination results before popping the champagne...
He seemed to be fine after that scare but you know it's gonna swell up and etc. luckily the Jets have 10 days until the next game. He's gonna need it.
Was good to see when Marshall returned and got his first catch against Gilmore that he had some words of wisdom for him about the challenge.
Marshall is an extremely frustrating player, but his talent is undeniable. It was awesome to see him catch that ball after he came back in and have words with the CB.
That was such a horrible face mask. Gilmore should get a fine for that. He was behind Marshall and ripped his helmet in a complete 180
I love Marshall and it would no doubt be huge to lose him....but I'm happy we have a very deep WR group with Devin Smith as a bonus in a few weeks in case one of the guys gets dinged up in the future I think we can still be OK on offense if anyone gets hurt....besides maybe Clady
Dude has to be tough as nails to be able to play after that. I thought for sure he was done for the season. Fuck.
Bowles said it was a sprain after the game. My guess is he's fine for next week especially since he came back and contributed.
Sometimes I wish he wouldn't be so physical because I feel like he is down a lot with minor knicks and injuries. But I guess that is who he is. That's part of what makes him so great. The first ball he caught when he came back he went right after the CB instead of just slipping out of bounds. I was really worried last night that he was gonna be gone for a while.
I'm glad he's OK. It really looked like it was over when It happened. Then I kind of felt bad for him because he was so excited to have Fitz back then only to have it end in week 2. I've seen far less serious looking falls end in ACL or MCL.
Definitely great to see that he wasn't seriously injured. I was shocked when the announcers said that he was jogging back onto the field, and then shocked even further when he came back into the game. I just wish he'd stop dropping passes! It was obvious he took his eyes off the ball or just lost concentration. That could have cost us the game. He has to quit accepting that he's going to drop 10 passes a year as he stated in a recent interview, and focus his mind on not allowing that to happen. It's inexcusable for someone with his talent.
I cringe every time I see all those dropped passes and think what could have resulted if they weren't dropped.
That was a dirty play by Gilmore. If the Jets lost Marshall for the year on an intentional facemask because the corner was beat, I would have been fuming mad. What a dick. That guy better watch out for karma.
Dirty tackle, no doubt, but honestry it's not THAT bad. It's a little off to the side, has all the makings of a sprain.
