    So happy we didn't resign him, so sad for the guy's health. Team doesn't reveal anything about what the problem is but is kind of weird. He's been hospitalized since Saturday night I think.

    3+ day hospital stay doesn't sound so "general" for a physically fit young man. Hope he gets better.

    I'm going to be incredibly sad if this turns out to be an accidental overdose or something he was doing to play through the pain. I have no basis for thinking that's why he's in the hospital, just kind of a gut feeling.

    No. He didn't disclose it, nor did the team. Apparently he's fine now.

    Something like this....

    Testicular torsion, or testis torsion, is an emergency condition. It happens when the spermatic cord, which provides blood flow to the testicle, rotates and becomes twisted. The twisting cuts off the testicle's blood supply and causes sudden pain and swelling.
