#1 complaint on TGG: "Media never gives us respect" Media gives us respect. TGG: "Are those idiots drunk???? WTF" lol #TGG
OK, I clicked through that pile of trash and to spare anyone else from having to do the same, Jets are #7 (Patriots are #3 and Carolina #1) according to Chris Simms: "You’re looking at a team with the best roster in football. There, I’ve said it. The Jets D-line is the best in football. Their secondary is up there, too. Their receiving corps is loaded again. Ryan Fitzpatrick doesn’t need to do much more than dump the ball off and let his supporting cast work. The running game will look a little different with Matt Forte. He’s more of a pass-catcher and speed back than Chris Ivory was. If that transition is seamless, the Jets won’t face many more questions. Next opponent: Cincinnati Bengals Looking ahead: Brady is out, and the Jets are loaded. If they can’t make a move now, they never will.
Totally on board with this. It's just that having that Elite QB picks up for the lack of the roster everywhere else. Could you imagine if we had someone like Philip Rivers or Matt Ryan? We would be Superbowl favorites...
Rankings at this point are pretty pointless IMO, but there are a whole lot of rankings out there that are much easier to read and view than the Chris Simms, Bleacher Report clickbait: #10 in Sports Illustrated Power rankings http://www.si.com/nfl/2016/09/07/nfl-week-1-power-rankings-panthers-cardinals #10 at ESPN http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...awks-pittsburgh-steelers-new-england-patriots #13 at Yahoo http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nfl-power-rankings-there-have-been-some-changes-160805495.html #14 At USA Today http://www.usatoday.com/sports/nfl/rankings/ #14 in NFL.com power rankings http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...-rankings-week-1-panthers-top-cardinals-hawks #17 at SB Nation http://www.sbnation.com/2016/9/6/12798464/nfl-power-rankings-2016-week-1-cardinals-seahawks-patriots #20 at Fox Sports http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/galler...ns-seahawks-patriots-packers-cardinals-090616 #21 at Walter Football! http://walterfootball.com/nflpowerrankings.php
Because it's a free country and I can open and comment on any thread or post I want. Why didn't you just give the ranking instead of making fellow TGG readers click the link while giving bleacher report the hits? And I'll say it again. Power rankings are uterly useless drivel in a sport that uses games and records to determine playoff teams and playoff games to determine a champion. Who cares if the Jets are 7 or 17 or 1 or 32? What does any of it mean?
Skrine is our #2 behind Revis right now.Torched lol i doubt it.Gilchrist and Pryor will do just fine in the back
Week 1 Power Rankings don't mean shit. They don't mean shit up until like week 4-5. The #1 ranked team could be dead last in week 2 and get back to the top 3 for week 3 again. But it's nice to see people give us some credit for once. Not that I care but it's better than being ridiculed as always I guess.
stfu just leave the thread alone and ignore it if it's so meaningless to you. pretty simple. do you think anyone cares that you don't care? nope.
I'm also not sold on their offense being so great. The defense could be one of the top units in the league and the special teams can only go up from last year.
