Chris Simms has loved the Jets all off-season. He seems to be a rare analyst that sees the Jets as upper echelon as most I've seen have the Jets as finishing in 3rd behind Buffalo.

I agree with him in regards to these Jets having the best roster in football.

We may not have an All-Pro quarterback or even a top 15 but we're loaded with real talent.

We need Fitzpatrick to have a special season. A 1998 Broadway Vinny type of magical year under Center because with this roster you're looking at the most dominant N.Y Jet team since 1998.

It's refreshing just knowing that I'm not the only football fan that's taking note. So many NFL analysts are now raving about our roster.

I've never hid my enthusiasm regarding our defense but here in 2016 we have a potential top 5 offense. Top 10 without question.

I also think we're "loaded" ... Been using that exact word for months. I think we have more than enough talent on both sides of the ball to compete for a championship. I can't believe how many people have been sleeping on this team, while they pump up teams like Jacksonville and the Raiders as the new playoff teams in the AFC. I ask myself, WTF are they looking at? Did they already forget that we won 10 games last season ...With a rookie HC ... And the worst Special Teams most of us have ever seen?

This is a VERY good football team.
We may not have an elite QB, but I'll put our surrounding cast up against any other 52 in the league.

 

Mac has assembled a very good team, we are solid in all 3 aspects of the game.

The old saying "the weakest link" will decide our fate. And I don't think Fitz alone is our weakest link, it's the o-line and how he does behind it.

 

Yeah, I don't see how a team with three new starters on the OL -- two of whom are borderline starters at best -- can be the most talented in the league. I hope I'm wrong.

 

Waay too early for rankings of any NFL team to be meaningful. The Jets don't have the worst roster, but I'd be hard pressed to believe we have the best roster either. The Jets don't suck, but they are hardly juggernauts. I think 7 might be a bit on the high side until we actually see them in a few games.

 

^^^^^This Our O line particularly our guard play has not been good in some time. I like the LG we got last season, but the right side of the line has been a horror show for the past 3-4 seasons.....

 

This one actually wasn't a slideshow.

But, I agree with you, I will never click on a slideshow on BR or any other site for that matter.

I agree with Simms, overall the Jets have a top 10 roster.

Offensive Line is a force multiplier but that can act in reverse. If our right side doesn't hold up then the Jets will be nothing more than loaded potatoes.

If offensive line can hold up their end of the bargain, we are a Top 10 team easy. Agree with grandpa regarding rankings this early. After week 4, we should have a pretty good idea about all the teams.

 

Is this a joke or is Simms delusional? Did he bother to look at the schedule or are we all of a sudden title contenders? Others say we have less than a 50% chance of winning 7 games..I'm guessing that's more accurate.
