This guy.....HC. None better.....MNF, he starts at 2mins. The intro graphics are closer to an episode of Charlies Angels! They probably thought the intro graphics kicked ass back in the day. Anyway, really loved that guy, especially for Ali fights.

Have you ever heard Buttle with Don La Greca on the pre-game during the regular season? I don't think he has ever picked the Jets to lose in his predictions. It's absolutely absurd.

I have no issue with Buttle. He's genuine, and that matters for something.

Hahahah....yeah total homer to the point of ridiculous. LeGreca is a total blue blood NY Giants fan also.....when he first showed up on wfan he was unlistenable to me and I hated that he got a gig with the Jets.
I even called him and Buttle one time and called LeGreca out on his Giants shit and his attitude towards the Jets. One of the one or two times I ever called those fucking radio stations...LOL. Fuck him

I love all prior Jet players as announcers. Why?
Because they played for my team. JMHO

NFL Gamepass had the Jacksonville commentators so any Jet would have been great.....

If they included Jeff Lageman or Mark Brunell, then those were two former Jets guys right there.

He doesn't bother me too much, but it is hard to believe he played LB in the NFL and was actually a good one with some of the things he says. He says linebackers should tackle "downhill" - in other words head on in the hole. Versus pursuing laterally. Duh. Unfortunately runners have a tendency to run away from defenders. smh

I can understand where he's coming from.

He had the luxury and the fortunate circumstance of playing along side one of the best if not the best OLB in Jets history ( with appologies to Mo Lewis), Lance Mehl. Mehl's great sideline-to-side line ability allowed for the others to play downhill, as Buttle alluded to.

I watched the Redskins cast on NFLN this morning. Joe Theismann is still a retard.

Mehl was the key to the defense in the first half of the '80s and especially the '86 team, arguably their best talent-wise since 1969. He went down during that team's 9 game winning streak and the D was never the same, losing 5 in a row and limping in to the playoffs. Unfortunately his career was over. He tried to play a couple of games the following season but because of the severity of that knee injury he was finished.

Mehl was one of my all time favorites. He was fantastic. Man, I haven't thought about that in a while.

Mehl's injury '86 and Klecko's injury in '82 in two of the team's best season's.....fuck

I moved from NY to Dallas the day after the Jets kicked undefeated Denver's asses on MNF, October 20th, 1986. I was convinced it was gonna be a Subway Superbowl that year. Unfortunately only one NY team made it and it wasn't the Jets.

David and Jennings were the best Jet radio team. Not to disparage Marty Glickman, he was great too

Just came back to this thread to remind you that disliking Bob Wischusen is a bad opinion.
