As usual my typing did not relay my point accurately. Sure, if someone does their research, truly looks into all available candidates and then decides not one of the parties is worthy of his or her vote then go ahead and sit it out. But, if all that person did was read the headlines and tweets and never votes just to be able to say, "Not my fault, I didn't vote for them", that person is, in my eyes, a waste. Now granted my view on this one particular poster is slanted by many of their previous useless posts but I can pretty much guarantee that Jetfannerd did not bother to research anything beyond the headlines.

I thought he was saying that candidates have gotten progressively worse and that, if we didn't draw a line eventually, the candidates in future elections would be equivalent to Mussolini and Hitler. But maybe i just read it too carefully
Obviously my point is you have to draw the line somewhere. You have a candidate who is the most unabashed liar not just in politics but of almost anyone I've ever encountered vs a guy who doesn't know what the nuclear triad is. We're past the point where traditional lesser of two evils discussion makes sense

the (isolated) high falutin wording aside, the point that you took out of context was that Americans have been dancing to this bogus "lesser of two evils" tune for generations, and as a result their Constitutional armor has taken a hit for the worse.
