Reports on various shows (ESPN, etc) has Ray Rice announcing that he will donate his entire 2016 season paycheck to various support groups (domestic abuse) if a team will sign him.

Still can't get that video out of my head - not too sure I would be one of those owners willing to give it a try.

That he will donate it to abuse charities may actually give him a slim chance of being picked up.

You know it's bad when pornstars are being judged for hanging out with you.

I'm glad somebody's keeping an eye on this shit. Please let us know when Joe Montana wants to launch his comeback.

What Ray Rice did was wrong, but to me, him being blackballed by the league makes no sense and is ridiculous.

Adrian Peterson wasn't blackballed, Greg Hardy hasn't been blackballed.

Hell, Vick's crimes were way more heinous and he played after his conviction.

There are other players who have gotten into trouble for domestic violence and still stayed in the league. The only difference is, Rice's was caught on video.

The difference with those two is they can still play at a high level. Ray Rice declined before his troubles and has a lot of wear and tear. Doesn't seem worth a teams trouble with the media attention and you can probably get same production with a million other RBs.

I'm pretty sure if this happened during the height of his career he would've gotten a second chance.

The fact that he hasn't been able to get even a simple tryout in years now tells you all you need to know about he being blackballed

It did happen during the height of his career. He was 1 year removed from 1,500 all purpose yards and 10 TDs. He had one poor season, hard to say he had declined overall.

It hurt that it was on video. Also Goodell probably blackballed him with the owners.

the problem is the video. the minute some teams signs him there logo will be in the corner of the video being replayed in every home in the nation. what owner wants that?

He declined each of his last two years, including a horrible final season in which he showed clear declining skills. If this happened after his 1300 12 TD season he would've gotten a second chance. The fact that it happened after his 600yd 3.1 ypc season he had no chance.
