I was referring to Dark Side, Wish You Were Here and The Wall. The movie was released in the 80's but the album was released in 79.

My first concert ever back in the late 70s at Nassau Collesium.

This is hard... especially considering I can't remember which of my music was at the end of a decade / beginning of next...... so I'm takin the easy way out. Some of these may not even be the best, just pivotal albums of the time for me... 90s are the toughest to choose (my "party" days)

50s Howlin Wolf: moanin at midnight?
60s Hendrix: Axis Bold as Love / Zeppelin II
70s Zeppelin: Houses of the Holy / Marley: Exodus
80s Bad Brains: Rock For Light / Metallica: Master of Puppets
90s Social Distortion (self titled) / Tribe Called Quest: Low End Theory
2000s Rise Against: Sufferer and the Witness / Tool: 10,000 Days / Black Keys: Magic Potion ?????

btw, my 1st arena concert was RUSH at MSG. My 1st "general admission" show was Primus opening for FISHBONE at Stony Brook Gymnasium :)

This really was so hard,,,I stuck with Rock Albums and groups,,,but there was so much Van Halen and I don't think anyone mentioned the Stones which is amazing and Black Sabbath is only here a few times,,,good lists guys but again this was so hard

I had Some Girls from the 70s with about 4 other albums.

And it's not even the Stones best album.

Good point. Sabbath should be on any list for their influence on their genre. I guess priest and Maiden also for reviving it later . So much would not have happened without those bands

I'd go with Master. Vol 4 is awesome too though. What do you think of Technical Ecstasy?
