https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ya...allas-nightclub-205229197.html?client=safari# Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was shot following a fight in a Dallas nightclub early Sunday morning, WFAA TV in Dallas first reported. Reporter Rebecca Lopez tweeted that Talib was one of three people shot following a fight at a local nightclub, V Live. Talib reportedly was taken to Medical City Hospital and NFL Network's Jeff Darlington reports that Talib was treated for his injuries there and released. A Medical City spokeswoman told Shutdown Corner that as of 4:53 p.m. CST there was no patient at the hospital with the name Aqib Talib. Broncos public relations director Patrick Smyth sent out the following on Sunday, confirming that Talib was shot in the leg: According to a WNAA report, the shooting was "accidental." When news first broke, there were fears of another Darrent Williams story involving a Broncos cornerback. But this report almost makes it sound like another Plaxico Burress type of situation. Burress accidentally shot himself in a New York nightclub and later was suspended by the team for four games for the incident. Talib grew up in the area and spends time in the offseason in Dallas. Local police once claimed to have arrested Talib, but it actually was his brother they had apprehended. Talib and his brother last year got in trouble at a different nightclub, LUXX Club, when shots were fired during an altercation they reportedly were involved in. They were investigated for aggravated assault, but charges were never filed. Talib also was charged with aggravated assault in nearby Garland, Texas after allegedly firing a gun at his sister's boyfriend in March 2011, but charges were dropped. Talib, 30, and the Broncos won the Super Bowl in February but it has been a tough offseason for the champs, who lost their top two quarterbacks to retirement and free agency and watched other talented players leave for greener pastures elsewhere after beating the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. Those teams will kick off the season in a Week 1 rematch. The Broncos are set to report to their three-day mandatory minicamp on Tuesday. Talib's status for the minicamp or beyond is not known.
Just another night on the town guns a blazing yehaa..... Next weekend we bring the grenade launcher case anyone decides to mess
Aqib Talib shooting details are coming in, and they're confusing https://www.yahoo.com/sports/blogs/...ming-in--and-they-re-confusing-222343481.html We're still learning about what happened in Dallas when Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib was shot, and some of the details don't make a lot of sense yet. Rebecca Lopez, who works at WFAA in Dallas covering the police beat and has broken many details on this story, shared some interesting tidbits on Monday. First, Lopez reported that Talib told police, "Everything was a blur and I was too intoxicated to remember what happened." TMZ published a video which is said to be from outside the club in which Dallas police said a shooting happened in the early morning hours on Sunday. You can hear four shots on the video. Lopez said that the Dallas Police Department was "looking into the possibility Talib was at a nightclub not a park when he and two other people were shot." Then Lopez, citing the police report, reported the bullet that hit Talib entered through rear of his right thigh and exited out his right calf. The physics of that are hard to imagine, though it would seem to indicate a bullet coming straight down Talib's leg. Dallas police released a few details on the case. The police responded at about 2:45 a.m. to a report of a shooting victim at Medical City Hospital. Talib was released from Medical City on Monday, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said. The police's public report said, "Assault detectives are working to determine if this offense may be related to the shooting at 1300 Empire Central," the address of the V Live club in Dallas. There will probably be more questions asked of Talib, by the Dallas authorities, the Broncos and the NFL, and then maybe we'll have some clearer answers as to what happened early on Sunday morning.
Sounds like maybe stray bullet or he hit the ground when he heard the first shot and another got him. Sounds like he got lucky. Nothing good happens at 340 am and you are still out running the streets. I am guessing no one there was really surprised by the sound of gunfire
Chedda Bob! If the bullet entered the thigh and exited the calf I'd say he had his gun in his waist band behind him. He went to pull it out in retaliation only to pull the trigger and shoot himself. Lol
I just went and watched the video, 4 shots are fired and it sounds like the 4th shot is fired from a different gun. Maybe I'm just reaching. Lol Anything but work
Running the streets? You make it sound like he's out there hustling crack. Being out in the wee hours of the morning doesn't justify getting shot. He was in a park. I'm sure we've all been in a similar situation at one point or another minus the shooting of course.
Plaxico Burress went to prison and missed the entire 2009 and 2010 NFL seasons. The Giants cut him from the team before the 2009 season when they realized it wasn't going to be resolved quickly. Maybe they also suspended him before that, but he ended up missing 32 games and never played another snap for the NY Giants.
I've been out plenty after 330 and it was never for anything good and no one was surprised when it led to trouble.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/06/07/talib-may-have-violated-texas-gun-laws/ Texas has gun laws. I for one am fucking SHOCKED.
