I would not be against trading up in theory but we dont have a whole lot of pieces to do so. No 5th or 6th rounder.
-Last year the Giants moved up from 40 to 33 and it cost them a 4th and 7th rounder.
-Carolina moved up from 57 to 41 and it cost them a 3rd and 6th rounder.

We're at 51. If we want to move anywhere in the 30s or early 40s, with no 5th or 6th its definitely going to cost us our 3rd round pick... at least. later 40s and its probably our 4th and something else.

Then since we dont pick until the 7th round, and those are basically shit picks, a trade up of any kind would mean coming out of this draft with only 2 decent prospects. I say stay where we are and hope someone good falls

Personally I'd love it if they decided to grab any of these guys (in order of preference)

    Jason Spriggs
    Emmanuel Ogbah
    Myles Jack
    Noah Spence
    Connor Cook
    Reggie Ragland
    Nick Martin
    Cody Whitehair
    Vadal Alexander

Cook, Whitehair, Martin or Jack. That Mo for the 2 Tennessee second round picks hypothetical sounds even more intriguing now.

Just as long as someone takes Jack before he gets to Miami. The thought of Tanny lucking into both makes me want to scream

Men, the real question is..... What happens if Derrick Henry is there at pick 51? Wouldn't he be someone to think long and hard about? Running back, especially pounder RB is a so/so need here, but unbelievable physical specimen like him don't grow on trees. You'd have a freight train back there for the foreseeable future

check this out. too bad he couldn't learn how to play defense. we could have our RB and our edge OLB

With all the talent on the board I'd do Mo for 2 TEN 2nds in a heartbeat

If we can come out of the 2nd day with Lee, Spence, Cook, Thomas and a 3rd rounder? Jeeze. Unrealistic but would be awesome.

Pass on Henry. No lateral quickness, and I think Khiry can fill this role just fine. Next draft we should look at RB to replace Forte and maybe Khiry.

Henry would be a fun pick and should have a decent career but he's going to take a beating so it might not be a long one. (eddie george 2.0...not that there is anything wrong with that)

Even in PPF's half negative review on the pick, they graded him as a strong pass rusher

he's a fast backer who gets sent on blitzes he can beat the edge with pure speed when he goes unblocked. he's not fighting through lineman to get sacks. saying we sealed up our pass rush need at OLB is not true.

For example, David Harris and Buster Skrine are good pass rushers, but they aren't pass rushers. If that makes any sense.

JAX can have the chance to come away after Day 2 with Myles Jack and Jalen Ramsey. Not to mention $75+ million in cap space. WOW!!!

    Trade Down...get more picks....

With that said -- I really want to come away with Jaylen Smith today.

I think Jack goes early, or will last to us, and then we can trade down, pick up a couple extra picks, and then take Jaylen Smith later...both gambles, both huge upside.

Really need an OL and WR somewhere in this as well.

Want to see Nick Martin, Jason Spriggs, or Cody Whitehair with our round 2 pick.

Wildcards for the whole night are obviously Jack and Smith.

I think Jack will be taken in the first ten picks of Round 2. I think Jaylon Smith lasts until at least the third or fourth round.

There is no way Miami passes on Henry. No way
