I'm thinking has to be offensive line, we have holes to fill there for sure. I also wouldn't argue with CB either.....

    Doesn't change.

Oline, OLB. And then more Oline.

    And a fucking punter.

The OL draft board has been ransacked. Right now the value is at WR and front seven.

Agreed. Michael Thomas/Sterling Shepard are great options. Noah Spence? Correa? Maybe be the one to take a risk on Jack. Cook? Lot of different directions we could go.

Don't sleep on Kevin Dodd or Jaylon Smith either.

Also, RBs and TEs are starting to look interesting.

There will be value at 51 but trading up for our guy would not be a bad idea.

Yea, by my estimation there are ~10 or so players who have no business being on the board. You can sit at 51 and hope that a couple teams reach and your guys fall, or you can trade up to be sure. I don't think Mac likes trading up very much based on what I've seen.

Reportedly we 9and other teams) did try to move up for Tunsil before the Fins got him.

Based on our history on 2nd round selections its better if we just trade back out of the round altogether.

But if we're destined to pick I think Nick Martin would be the best selection. Could play inside right away and eventually take over for Mangold.

Spence could drop and if he does that might make me change my mind a little..but Im getting the feeling teams are steering clear from him in the 2nd round.

This second round is absolutely loaded I'd be most happy with Spriggs or Noah Spence but there's at least 10 other guys in consideration.
Anyone but Hackenberg and I'll feel really good about our future.

Many tackles went off the board, but what about guards? We could still use someone opposite Carpenter. Winters sucks.

Unless they go with far more 4 man fronts, there is a gaping hole at OLB. I'd like to see Kyler Fackrell at 51 or Noah Spence if he's there. Correa has been linked to the Jets too.

Wouldn't complain about OL, of course, and I wonder if Spriggs has a shot to drop.

Really hoping they don't trade up and really don't want Hackenberg at #51

I know there's a thread on Day 2 in the draft forum but regardless, my wish list in no order:

    Kamalei Correa, Edge Rusher
    Jason Spriggs, Offensive Tackle
    Mackensie Alexander, Cornerback
    Myles Jack, OLB
    A'Shawn Robinson, NT
    Cody Whitehair, OG
    Jordan Jenkins, OLB
    Noah Spence, Edge Rusher
    Le'Raven Clark, OT
    Kyle Fackrell, Edge Rusher

Any of these picks would make me happy. With Lee projected as a weak side inside LB in our 3-4, I'm not opposed at all to taking an OLB or pass rusher in round 2 if the value is there. Could take our defense to the next level. As with most of the posters on here I'd love to shore up out offensive line, and the three prospects listed are best suited to do that immediately IMO. Cornerback and Nose Tackle are lesser needs but if Alexander or Robinson are available I think you'd have to consider them. Also, but less enthusiastically, open to the idea of a TE or WR. In Mac I trust

I wouldn't draft a TE ew. The way the offense is set up the position can be barely used and this crop of TEs is a weak one anyway. Why draft a backup caliber TE in round 2 or 3 when you dont even use the position anyway. I could see if someone was a damn good TE prospect, you'll obviously use him, but these guys would struggle to start in the future on teams that love the TE position

If we can take the top TE in this draft with the 51st overall pick we should at least consider it since we have a giant gaping hole starting at that position.

Even so I would rather have Jack, Spence, Dodd, Smith, etc. at LB.

Who is the top TE in this draft though? Jerell Adams? Hunter Henry? No thanks. I'd rather roll with the guys we have. Neither of those guys are going to do a better job than Amaro/Sudfeld/Kellen Davis in the small handful of plays we set up for TEs anyway. Just because the position is not a strength doesn't mean we throw more shit at the wall and hope it sticks. If they take a TE in the 2nd round I'll be pissed. The guys you mention would be fine for a defensive selection but if you are going to address the passing game go with a WR or even a QB first before these TEs

    Best players available, from NFL.com

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...6-nfl-draft-9-remaining-gems-left-after-day-1

I'm SHOCKED A'Shawn Robinson wasn't picked yesterday, I thought he would go somewhere between #10 and #15 overall, if not higher!

Myles Jack, Reggie Ragland, Kevin Dodd, and Jarran Reed are also screaming values who were projected to go in Rd. 1

I actually think Derrick Henry is going to be right up there with Ezekial Elliot as a pro, but we don't need a RB.

Anyone interested in trading up for Jack? What would you be willing to give up?

First, trade Wilkerson for a 2nd or a collection of a 3rd, 4th and 6th pick. Most importantly, save $15.7M.
Second, sign Hoyer for $4M a year and call Fitz's agent to tell him the Jets are no longer interested.
Third, draft a young QB in the draft and cut Geno. Start Hoyer and let the two other battle for #2 this year and #1 next year.

Lastly get Carl Nassib (DE) and Xavien Howard (CB) tonight.
