Of course QBs improve after lackluster starts. But Geno's start wasn't lackluster, it was horrible. And Brees's first year was actually pretty good for that era. He regressed in his second year and then in his third year he worked his ass off and lit it up. Whereas in Geno's third year, he got his ass on and got lit up.
