Apparently you can substitute Mo for Bradford and your statement still stays true

Well, Mo would negotiate a long term deal to get guaranteed money as part of his trade. But I doubt that Bradford is gonna renegotiate his deal that he only signed a short while ago and give any concessions.

    That's the difference.

I am sure Bradford would be happy to renegotiate his deal as he has already gotten his $11 million bonus and is only due 24 million over the next two years. I don't think any team would want to renegotiate that deal. The better question is why would the Eagles want to trade him after giving him an 11 million dollar signing bonus. It would be very hard for the Eagles to eat that money. They would be much better to pay Bradford his $7 million salary this year and cut him next year. Their investment in Chase Daniels is much less with only $3million in a signing bonus but his salary this year is only $4 million including roster bonus but not including the signing bonus. If the Eagles move anyone it will likely be Daniels. They invested to much in Bradford this year that they cannot recoup.

I don't buy Bradford. Especially at that price and with his injury history. He is just a guy.

Potential upside at a high cost. No thank you.

High cost? 7m is less than best case Fitzpatrick situation. The only high cost is what pick the Eagles are going to want in return. If it costs us a second, are you saying you'd rather have Hackenburg (the top QB available at 51)?

I doubt it would even cost a second rounder. The Eagles have no leverage. They probably ask for that but the Jets would counteroffer. $7 million dollars as we bridge the gap for 1 year. Send them a 4th round pick. $7 million is a lot less than what Fitzpatrick wants. Bradford is at least AS good. you save money and you don't downgrade. They are both stop gap QBs, we aren't going to the SB who cares, take the one who is cheaper and younger.

yeah but the point remains.....when a player wants tons of dough it's really hard to trade said player for a 1st round draft pick. Much of the success of teams has to do with having stars play on their rookie deals....see the Seahawks. Players like Richardson, Odell Beckham, and even Wilson 2 yrs ago playing for peanuts. Once players start wanting their 2nd contract everything goes to hell.

I'm not of the impression we're gonna get a first for Mo....more like a 2nd and filler like a 5th or so.

If the Jets could get Bradford for a mid round pick at a salary around $7 mill since the iggles already paid his signing bonus, I'm all for it. He's better than Fitz and a hell of a lot younger.

Unfortunately, his value is falling all the time and the longer this goes on the less we will get.

Why did the Eagles pay him if they were just gonna trade up?

Bradford makes Fitz look durable and spry. He looks lost out there most of the time. PASS.

I don't know shit about players worth regarding draft picks so take it easy on me geeks. How bout Mo and our 2nd for Bradford and there first pick. Then we move down and get more picks and now we have more cap room, a QB and more picks.

They traded up to presumably get a qb with the first pick. I don't see them trading the #1.

I can't believe there isn't one team that will trade us their punter for Mo
