With the huge haul that the Titans just raked in from LA, do they now become a vaible trade option for Mo?

They now hold the 15th 43rd and 45th picks in the draft.

looks to me like tennessee is looking to build through the draft by acquiring a ton of talent over the next 2 years. it could go wonderfully or horribly, dependent upon how they draft and a little bit of luck either way.

i dont see how mo fits in other than jets fans want to get 2 2nd round picks from them.

It leaves them with 3 2nd round picks, so would they be willing to trade 2 of them for a top 5 DE in Mo?

Id sign up for 3 2nd picks in a draft this deep in a heartbeat

Either number 15, or 2 seconds? Dont know how realistic either option is, but I would take both.

How about 15 and one second?

Top 5 defensive player in league you know

Top 5 in the league? I dont know about that. Might be close, but the league has a lot of good defensive players.

Obviously, I would do that trade, little to no chance Tennesse does.

Top 5 at his position, but not overall defensive player.

That would be sweet, but I would be shocked if that happens. With the amount of guaranteed money Mo wants ($40-$50 million) and the size of the contract, and with this being a very strong draft for DL, I just can't see the Jets getting that much in return. If Mac could dupe the Titans out of that much, he would definitely deserve a lifetime contract with the Jets.

It's Mac's job to convince then he is top 5 worthy I guess...I dont know we need to figure something out. Fitzpatrick may be more inclined to retire if they dont pay him enough. But what do I know, I'm just a guy with an opinion.

I think their 15th is out of the question, but any combination of 2 of their 3 second round picks would have me satisfied.

I think they plan to build through the draft but it's possible.

Exactly. I think the plan is to make a run 3 years from now - no sense in paying a guy like Mo now, and then have to give up picks.

Well, if they offer us a 2nd and 3rd rounder this year, plus a 1st rounder next year, then maybe we consider it. Maybe. (I'd still prob. decline. We're a win-now team and can't afford to lose our best defensive player)

I would take that trade for a few reasons. We seemingly won't have Mo after next season, so why not get those picks while we can instead of a good season from him and not winning a Superbowl? We are getting older, hence the win-now team, so we're going to need the extra picks to keep building in order to some day be a continuously-winning team. We are a win-now team, but with no Quarterback capable of winning it all now, not even if we sign Fitz.

No way. The the AFC South is questionable. They just added a rushing champ to boot. They're ready to compete right now.

They could walk away with Mo and a top wr in this draft and be serious contenders for the division.

Ain't happening. Unrealistic trade offer. Better be happy if you get a 2nd at best at this stage.

I understand your point, I guess I just think we have a better chance of winning it all next year than you do. Fitz is not a superstar, but he's a gutsy competitor who tossed over 30 TD passes and almost 4000 yards last year. Sure he had a bad final game, but there were players on the team who felt that if we made the playoffs we would have went on a run to possibly even the SB. Fitz is above average, and good enough to win a championship for us given all of the talent around him imo. (on offense and defense).

I also don't understand the premise that we won't have Mo after next season...why can't Mac work out a contract with him long term??? That's what the good teams do, they figure out how to resign their core players to long-term deals, usually before they become FAs, rather than trading their stars for draft picks.

Why do we always have to settle for trading away our stars for peanuts???? :(
