double digit losses in both games, i expect the bears game to be a blowout the jets are the kind of team they'll absolutely destroy.

The quality of the officiating will ultimately decide both games. The Refs stink this year.

Always have trouble seeing a team like New England loosing two in a row, and when was the last time New England lost two in a row? The Bears looked terrible against Miami and showed their offense can be stopped, but like many posts before this one, all these teams are going to try and run the ball all over us. If we can contain the run then we have a shot! If Chad looks like he stuck in the mud while playing or if we get off to a very slow start I think we may see Clemens.

Beating any team is tough... aka look at the Bears/Phish and Texans/JAX. Heck the Giants almost lost to the Texans yesterday. The Pats lost two in a row in 2002 when they lost to the Titans and us.

If we beat the Browns and stood at 5-3 how much better would our chances have been anyway?

    Refs

Blatent call blowing... I could have gone with... well the Jets couldnt blame their loss on the refs because they really didnt play well enough to win during the whole game.... but did you see the GIFT/BIAS last night when they gave the pats that 1st down when brady was NOWHERE near it... and that was a critical game, call & evenly contested

We have a better shot against the Pats IMO, because we are a lot more familiar with them, but we dont matchup with the Bears at all, we dont pressure the QB which wont force Grossman to make mistakes, and our offense is no match for their D as is

I agree that next week looks hopeless. Manning was at his best last night with Marvin Harrison, Wayne and those receivers and barely beat the Pats.

Our team is too inconsistent and our coaching staff is too stubborn to do what needs to be done to give our defense a chance to compete.

Problem with the Bears is, I think the Giants run rough shod over them next week in the Meadowlands. After facing Strahan and company, our pass rush will seem like a walk in the park and the Bears will not lose 3 in a row.

My question is: do the pats get every single call--even yesterday, every call went their way. Brady went 2 inches and they gave him a gain of 2 yards and then they reviewed it and came to the same conclusion.

exactly my point.... but its evident to me that while pats are very very tough to beat........ they ARE beatable. I think its indy vs. jints @ the end of the season

Every team who had their BYE week last week won...Including Miami's upset, along with Buffalo, Detroit's upset and Washington. The catalyst to me is that those teams had 2 weeks to prepare for their opponent!

The Jets have had a week, and now have another week to change our opinions on this team like Miami and Detroit did...They showed heart, and the ability to stick to their respective gameplan.

I'm not saying the Jets will win, because now the Jets get a pissed off Pats team...But some sort of improvement consistently would be great by me...The Jets know they're going to get a heavy heavy dose of Maroney and Dillon, so please...2 weeks to prepare for 1 team. Come on.
