Peyton wants to keep it going but his days in Denver are done.

Schefter said " In a perfect word, he'd like to keep playing" he went on to say "The question, who's gonna give him an opportunity?"

We all know his arm strength had diminished and all the other bs that's gone on BUT he makes us a legit contender next year!

Chan's shotgun spread is exactly what Peyton likes and Chan is an older OC that will allow Peyton to play his game more. Plus Eli is down the road.

He's old but every team he's started for over the past 15 years has been a SB contender and in my opinion the way this team is built full of vets (Brick, Mangold, Harris, Revis, Marshall, Decker) and players on the brink of big pay days (Mo, Sheldon, Pryor) OUR TIME IS NOW!

Its now and I think a 39 year old Peyton can win us a SB over a 33 year old Fitz who has never played a PO game.

I dont think I'd be comfortable signing him and just anointing him the starter. Like he could be a giant improvement over Fitz, but he could also be the garbage Peyton Manning from last year.

If he had any interest in earning the starting role and competing with Fitz, I'd run to offer the contract. But he wont do that. Someone will offer him a starting role I would think.

Why settle for the 2nd worse QB in the NFL last year when you can go all in and have Ryan Mallett?

You forgot to include "sign this beast". Super post otherwise.

    depends on his health.
last year he had a ton of ailments affecting his game, and at 40, there's a good chance those ailments will keep plaguing him.

if he could enter camp 100% healthy, i'd take the chance on him staying healthy provided Petty is ready to step in if needed.

    but it'll never happen anyway.
He has no interest in playing in NY with his brother.
Fitz is how we'll proceed, and i'm happy to have him..

I have a great deal of respect for PM, as we all should. But imo he should retire. I don't even know if healthy that he's better than Fitzpatrick, and is fragile. He missed playing time. If it were not for Osweiler the Broncos would have lost their seeding at least, probably the playoffs all together.

The time to sign Peyton was a few years ago, not now.

I too am a big Peyton fan. Just LOVED it when he beat crybaby Brady. That said, he needs to retire before he really gets hurt...again. I'd hire him as a QB coach in a heartbeat though.

Yes, it would be a total Jets move to sign Peyton when he has nothing left in the tank, and is prime for the ultra scandal combo of college sexual scandal lawsuits and HGH.

    SIGN ME UP!

Rarely if ever do the all time greats become good coaches, in any sport.
