I had nothing to respond because on the surface that sounds impressive but I was going through my timeline today on FB and I saw I shared this three weeks ago:

For an HC who used to be a DC, there should be no way his team lets up 51 points. That's New Orleans Saints level ineptitude on D.

It's also a misnomer that they won 8 games with a 3rd string QB. The only game they played - and won - with a number 3 QB is against the lowly Titans who had long mailed in the season and were looking forward to the offseason before the first whistle.

Andrew Luck played the first 9 weeks (won 4) and Hasselbeck took over and played the next 7 games (won 3). Neither guy is a 3rd string QB and let's be honest, with the talent they have at WR and TE anyone could have been behind centre and won a game or 2.

Maybe you build the defense and the offensive line and let Luck sort the other stuff out when he's not running for his life on every play?

I'd go heavy on OL (again) in the draft and shake up one of the oldest LB corps in the NFL.

dude the GM is the issue there. they have no fuckin talent on that roster. that GM gets the gift of a lifetime in Andrew Luck and proceeds to not do a single good move anywhere else on the roster

If Hasselbeck was healthy every game this year I would say yeah but he was literally fighting an injury or sickness in every start. That ain't easy at 40. Even when Luck was playing HE was playing injured for practically the whole season. The QB position was a mess all year and Pagano had even less of a chance at succeeding with that roster around them as Coughlin with THEIR shitty roster since at least had a healthy Eli and OBJ.
