Fitz plays great the first season when he is with a team. You aren't changing a 33 year old tigers stripes. First full year starting in Buffalo: 3000 yards, 23 TD's, 15 INT's. Next year: 24 TD's, 23 INT's I love Fitz. I really do. I wish he was still a Bill. Has heart. Toughness. Grit. But this is what he does. So enjoy it guys.
He's playing better here than he ever did in Buffalo, and he's got the weapons that any QB would die to have. So I think you're making an apples to oranges comparison. His stats, 29 TD, 11 INT, 91.4 rating, 3724 yards. So yeah, I'll continue enjoying it.
This is what Fitz does? When did he ever win 10 games with your sorry franchise? When did he ever have a win and in week 17 scenario? Did he ever lead 4 game tying/winning drives in the 4th quarter/OT in a 5 week stretch? FOH.

At the start of the year you guys said we were screwed with Fitz at QB. He played well. Then you said he would fade down the stretch. He got better. He'll fall apart if the team around him deteriorates. He's not the type of guy who can transcend his supporting cast and elevate the team, but if you give him a talented team he'll work with it. The Bills never gave him anywhere near what he has with the Jets, either defensively or offensive weapon wise. If you take away Marshall or Decker, or if the defense drops from being great to being average, he's going to regress. Duh, congratulations, you're right.
If we field a team with equal or better talent next year he will play just as well. Again, I don't give a shit what he did in Buffalo. Those Bills teams were mediocre.
We shall see next year PS: I know Terrell Owens and Lee Evans is so no Marhsall/Decker (HOF combo, am i right) but not bad for Fitz to throw to.

Fitz is a stopgap QB who is performing above his head with better talent on offense than he's had with any team he has played for. He is what he is. I guess I'd be butthurt too if my team paid a glorified backup like a franchise QB. LMAO Oh, by the way, enjoy Rex Ryan. This season is definitely what he does.
