Since this game is huge, with plenty of storylines, can and will the game be flexed? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
IIRC all wk17 games are TBA, then NBC cherry picks a win-and-you're-in game (especially if it's essentially a division championship game), so yeah, they can. Will they? God I hope not, really don't want to wait around all fucking day. Plus the narrative will be done to death as it is, without getting the primetime 'EPIC SEASON FINALE' NBC treatment.
Yes - Week 17 can be done with 6 days notice. Will it? Who knows? But there is a chance. Great Storyline - Jets win and in against Rex. But I really do not want this to happen.
Could be, Rex has probably already made a few calls to NBC. But with MIN/GB, ARI/SEA it's unlikely. KC/OAK same situation as us also just less drama.
It CAN be flexed but the NFL likes games with guaranteed playoff implications. If the Steelers ever lost again next week the Jets would already be in by 8:30. Jets-Bills could be the jackpot story but they might play it safe with the Vikes-Packers game.
Still buzzing, went from beer to moonshine when we went to OT. Flex it Gooodell. Going to take a nap now. GO JETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's almost definitely going to be flexed, right? The NFC playoff teams will be set by then, and with KC in, if Denver wins the Jets would be the only team in a "win and in" scenario. The only other possbility would be MIN/GB because that game could decide the NFCN, but with all the storylines of Rex vs. the Jets and Fitz/Gailey going back to Buffalo, I can't imagine this doesn't get flexed.
I agree.. I looked at all the other games and most other playoff spots are locked up.. Ours is a biggy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
KC/OAK is not same as us -- KC has clinched the playoffs already. Best chance of not getting flexed is if Minnesota wins tonight, then that game vs GB is for the Division.
