If not somebody is going to wind up hung up in his dungeon and whipped all night for taking the wind in OT.

Last guy that made that call was Marty Mornhinweg in Detroit in 2003.

Belichik and Mornhingweg, birds of a feather?

I'm going with house of pain for the guy who made the call.

It wasn't Belichick. I doubt Slater would have questioned the refs if Belichick instructed him to defer Slater just screwed up; he'll likely be cut tomorrow.

Blowing a 14 pt leader is hardly "dominating."

Maybe Bill morphed into Kotite. Steelers are the only team in AFC which can beat Pats - when Pats play to win, of course.

Well it's a LITTLE different now with the revised OT rules and being almost guaranteed a possession but yeah they got too cute and I guess worried about the wind. Even at the end of the first half Bill's hubris bit him in the ass, as if they didn't need to be in a rush to score when they took the air out of the ball at the end of the half.

Exactly, so the circle jerk that is occurring seems to be a bit premature.

It's possible that Belichik just does not believe the Pats can beat the Steelers in the banged up condition the Pats are in. I don't think you ever want to lose to a team you might face in the playoffs in a few weeks though. Momentum is a real thing.

Slater just screwed up. He followed the refs lead, and the ref always asks if you want to kick or receive, Slater cut him off before he got to the receive part.

Belichik played super conservative all game except for the no-brainer 4th down calls.

I think it was a Slater screw up, which is where I was in the initial post. :)

You think Belichik regrets cutting Aaron Hernandez right about now?

Slater said the Pats wanted to kick but wanted the wind. He should have called the direction and let the Jets call for possession.

This one is on the coach

Then my apologies, I misread it. I thought you were implying that BB did it on purpose.
