If you record them you have the choice to fast forward through if you don't need a drink etc., if you do then you let the commercials play. I can't see needing to do something every commercial break.
The worst is when a player gets injured and they immediately take a TV timeout. Now you wait 5 minutes to find out whether the guy is even conscious.
It amazes me that European soccer makes so much money without commercial breaks during the game. How do they do it?
I actually don't mind that. Don't need to see them endlessly replaying the injury and hover over him til he's off the field, all while either rambling uselessly or speculating irresponsibly.
