    I, for one, am not nearly as confident in getting a W as some here. I want to be wrong though, definitely.

    Can see a one score or less loss as is tradition.

    This is the Jets. I'm never confidant in a win for any game, never mind a Patriots game. Makes the ones we do win more satisfying.

    Most probably see it the same way you do. I feel the same way. I think the Jets can win but it will be a tough game. Playing against Brady is never easy plus NE is playing for homefield. The Jets are going to have to play much better than they did against Dallas otherwise it will be a long day. Anyway I will be there as always cheering my head off. I plan on leaving Metlife with no voice. It will be a close game IMHO.

    But...

    If the Jets beat the Pats and Buffalo;

    and the Steelers beat the Ravens and the Browns;

    and KC beats the Browns but loses to the Raiders at home...

    Does that mean the Jets backed in?

    I'm wasn't particularly confident a few days ago, I'm even less so now but still think we have a shot. Hopefully we come out strong and as it's a meaningless game for them they will start resting guys if we get ahead early.

    We still have Christmas eve and Christmas day to get through before Sunday. And then there is Saturday. Yikes.

    The Patriots will rely heavily on their D to keep the game close for Brady to sneak through a win...

    Their D is NOT as good as the Jets D but it's pretty good so we'll see.

    The cards are in place for the Jets to have a good solid win against the Patriots but anything can happen.

    WTF with this Board...Nobody seeing the handwriting on the wall for the Brady Bunch...74 said it a few posts ago that we are gonna win.

    Facts: Pats have Brady, Gronk ( bad knee) LaFell and Bellicheat ready. No Amendola, Edelman I am not even sure who is healthy on defense for them with Chung and Devin Mcourtney out. Their D line is tough tho, the pass rush is there too
    I think every player on the Jets squad is healthy for this game with few exceptions

    Motivation Pats vs Jets: Hardly a do or die for Pacheaters with Belli even saying he might be saving players for playoff run they have also locked up first round bye;Jets? Goes without saying how we need this win

    Trends: Pats are not as good lately with a big loss to the Eagles at home; We have improved immensely from 9 weeks ago.

    Vegas Line: Pats favored by only 3. That should tell you something

    Intangibles: METLIFE STADIUM

    Case closed...da winners Jets!!

    Another positive for this game: when the Jets win, Bowles & Co won't treat it like they just won the SB and shit themselves next week against the Bills.

    I like the optimism here. But I can't see a Jets win as anything close to a sure thing.

    I will say other than some zebra-initiated fiasco I am prepared to accept the results either way. If the Jets win, F'ing great! And hopefully on to Buffalo and one more win, get in the playoffs, etc...

    And if they lose, it will still have been an upward season that the Jets can build on for next year and hopefully several thereafter. The past couple of seasons Decembers have been awful. Even a loss this weekend will not change that the season has been a net positive.

    Just watched the week 7 game on game rewind, man it feels like we were playing with our hands tied behind our back with Zac Stacy as the lead back. Having Ivory and Powell healthy could be a huge difference maker. I also forgot just how many passes the Patriots dropped that day, we'll have to be ready for them to come out and execute better.

    Although, I think tonights game tells a lot about which Oakland team shows up on Jan 3rd. If they win tonight, and get an extra 3 days to prepare, you know Woodson will have that team upbeat in his last game against the rival Chiefs. Gotta hope the Raiders put on a good performance tonight. So tonight is an appetizer.
