c'mon man a 12 game mark to get in is complete bullshit, every team messes up every once in a while to a team they "should" have beaten, we'd only not get in on a very good record because of circumstances out of our control.

The Steelers comeback yesterday may have doomed us. I think even at 11-5, we are unlikely to get in. Just a terrible confluence of factors working against us.....
Something that could be a small help ... I just noticed that SD opens Week 16 on Thursday night against the Raiders, and Denver closes Week 16 on Monday night against the Bengals. Since we might need SD to upset Denver in Week 17 to get us in, it doesn't hurt that SD will be getting extra rest, while Denver is coming off a short week against a physical team. Just another straw to cling onto.
Nice optimism but that could effect us in the exact opposite way. SD is out of the playoffs the last thing they could want to do after a mini bye week is play a meaningful road game that interrupts their offseason. Denver will either be playing for a first round bye or a playoff spot in general. The energy level shouldn't even compare. Easily an argument that it's worse that they play this Thursday giving them extra time.
That's a good point. I didn't see it that way. My cousin is a SD resident and a season ticket holder (I was actually out there for that debacle last season). I'm going to call him to find out just how much the Chargers hate the Broncos. Maybe hatred can be their motivation EDIT ... Unfortunately, it's so damn nice out there, it's really hard to get mad about anything.
Not to look ahead... reading some of the press reports out of Buffalo, It seems like Rex has lost the team. Players like Mario Williams openly questioning coaching decisions... I think despite the fact that Rex will want to make it his personal Super Bowl, the Jills will be planning their winter vacations. Looks like an absolute clown show at One Bills Drive and I'm sure alot of the players are pointing the finger at Rex.
Jeez...It took us six years to realize Rex is a fraud. Gettin in the playoffs never hurts. Ryan should have guaranteed a SB Trophy. Go for the gold asshole. Playoffs or not...it'll be sweet to beat him week 17. I can't wait till ESPN hires him to sit across from Herm. Non stop buffoonery.
