The Jets win a tie-breaker against the 11-5 Broncos for a wildcard and the 11-5 Broncos lose the AFC West to the 11-5 Chiefs. It's not as grim as it seems if the Steelers win. If Osweiler is hurt and Peyton is not ready to come back the Broncos could easily wind up 11-5.
Our best bet is to win out. At 10-6 we need a ton of help. At 11-5 there are two games that are most important. Denver needs to beat Pittsburgh today. Oakland needs to beat KC in week 17. One of these happening with us at 11-5 gives us the #6 seed and a trip to New England Both of these happening with us at 11-5 gives us the #5 seed and a trip to either Cincinatti or Denver. Go Broncos!
Broncos could possibly lose next week against Cincy but if they do there is no way they lose at home in week 17 against a terrible Chargers team in a do or die situation. It's not a question of winning out anymore that's mandatory... 10-6 is no longer a possibility. If Denver ends up losing our best shot is the Raiders beating KC in week 17 IMO.
You are right on about our chances and potential outcome but I don't see the Broncos doing shit on the second half. Let's hope for a reversal now, with a long sustained drive ending on a TD by Denver with time running out.
Even if the Broncos take the lead here, there is no chance they stop the Steelers on 4 downs if they give them the ball back. They can barely stop them on 3. With 4 ... NO CHANCE. The Broncos need to take the lead at 00:00 or something very close.
Denver cost me $5,000 in my Survivor Pool...now this....I used to root for them with Peyton, they can lose out from here.
I think we are almost eliminated at 10-6 at this point. We lose the tie-breaker to both the Steelers and the Chiefs at 10-6 and the Bengals and Broncos both need to lose out to get to 10-6.
Phil Simms just said it hasn't been a bad second half for the Denver defense.....hahaha....this fuckin guy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
