A hot garbage win is always better than a pretty loss. Compare it to the 1st new England game. I felt like the Jets could have won and played well enough to win, but came up short. In this game they easily could have lost if the Cowboys made 1 or 2 more plays, but in the end the Jets out lasted them. An ugly W often is the result of a good performance by the defense. That's what we got today. And the fat that Dallas' quarterbacks were God awful.
I don't understand fans like you. This was a 4-12 team last year. We have a journeyman ab who has never won more than 6 games in a year. We have a rookie HC. We have holes in our lineup. We aren't the '80's 49ers. They pulled out a gutty win on the road against a very good defensive line. To go 9-5. Wtf? If that doesn't make you happy, then what does? Suddenly how they win isn't good enough for you? One year after Rex and the clown car? You disapprove of them acting happy after the win? Whatever. "The Pats are going to stomp us if we play like that next week." Play like what? Forcing 4 turnovers and scoring points at will in the 4th quarter when it matters? I'll take it. You go be miserable.
very true. In truth though, the cowboys defense especially their front 7 has been excellent this year. This cowboys game went about how every other cowboys game went this season.
have you watched the NFL at all this year outside of the Jets. This game against the Cowboys went about how literally every Cowboys game all season has gone (outside of a couple of games). The Cowboys front 7 and run game keeps Cowboys in the game, and they lose by a big play late in the 4th. It's almost scripted at this point. The Jets scrapped it out and won, what's your problem?
A "gutty win"...that's hilarious. Almost as funny as "scoring points at will". Yeah...sorry if I expect more out of this team than you do. But go ahead and be content with barely eking out a win against below average competition.
9-5 and a garunteed winning record after all we saw the last 4 years and yet the complaining is no different. I don't know- it feels damned good to have a winning record. 2010 seems like a hell of a long time ago. I was happy to take the victory; happy to see we are playoff relevant; hoping we build off of this season. I hope the HC evaluates along with the GM all of the things being discussed and changes are made and improvements addressed in areas of weakness. Two games left and win or not, there is at least real excitement entering each of them.
You didn't answer my question. Have you watched any Cowboys games this year? There is nothing unusual about how this game went. Not every game is going to go swimmingly. Sometimes they are going to be tight and tough. The Cowboys have lost a MULTITUDE, in fact 7 games to be exact, by less than 7 points this year, in this exact way to a variety of teams. When games go this way, the team needs to get together and pull out a win. They did that. Still don't understand your problem. The Jets are one of 7 teams to beat the Cowboys this way, are coming off a win to make it 4 in a row, are 9 -5 & currently the 5 seed , and you're complaining?
His problem is that Jets actually won. If they lost, he'd complain with authority instead of sounding like a bitter bitch.
I don't think you understand why he is frustrated, it's not that they won, it's because the jets are the better team and as the better team, they should have not struggled to beat a team that has such a poor QB. It should have not been a blowout, and I know the Cowgirls have some skilled players. But the game was closer than it should have been, tough games are one thing, sloppy games due to bad decisions by the HC, ST mistakes and stupid penalties made the game closer than what is should have been. At this point, I believe in the jets ability to move the ball, they are number one in RZ scoring, they have a top ten offense and defense. Their HC should not be chasing points, they will be in the RZ 6 more times during a game, even if it's 3 FG and 3 TD, it's 30 points a game they should be scoring. This game should have been a 26-16 victory. I think that's why he is frustrated.
Look at it this way: We didn't play our best ball, hell we didn't play well at all but we still got a win. _
Understood, but you have to take the other teams patterns into consideration. Believe it or not, there are other teams in the NFL with tendencies as well. And this game fell right into the Cowboys tendencies, probably because it was in Dallas.
Exactly Stokes....Good teams win games when they're off their game. This is actually a positive not a bad thing. If Jets were crawling to put a couple wins together I get it. But this is a month straight of wins. They were off last night, and fell into the Cowboys ebb and flow. And won anyway.
Couldn't have said it better myself. We should be playing stronger ....since we're supposedly in the 'thick' of a playoff run. There's just too many areas that will kill us when we meet bona fide teams.
