I already know all the bullshit about to be posted on here. Piss off. A win on the road is a big W. End of the year, most games get ugly. Actually I'm glad we played a close game, if it was a blowout I feel like we'd get full of ourselves this wk. this keep them humble and hungry. A W is a W.
Absolutely the perspective we all should have. We didn't win pretty but we did exactly what we needed to do in order to be legitimate playoff hopefuls. This was important wake up call for this team and probably needed this type of game right before going against NE. We are in the best shape we could be at this point. Good win.
Much better than a loss lol. I doubt any of us are happy right now but I think we'll all take 9-5 going into a home game against the Pats next weekend. Makes tomorrow worth watching too. I have a feeling something will go our way. They cant all be pretty.
Also, I know the Cowboys are having a bad year but their strength matched up well against us. They have a very fast Dline, they have a very good defense overall, their offensive line is probably the best we've faced all year. This wasn't easy because their team isn't built horribly and their strength matched our strength in a lot of ways. The difference was their QB and our special teams.
I'm happy we woke up and quieted their running attack down after the first half. This game helps to take the sting away from some of our ugly losses earlier in the year. We can't slip up against our last two opponents and have the same mental mistakes and poor play out of the gates.
Absolutely. Not an overly impressive performance, but they hung in there, made plays they needed to and found a way to win a primetime game on the road. They just won two games (trap games, some would say) they "should" win. This had the feel of a game most Jet teams of years past would have lost, but they found a way to win. Gotta be happy about that. BIG game next week
Plenty of missed opportunities, points left on the board, drops, etc... After years of watching the Jets, I don't expect my team to play perfectly every week, especially given the production we've seen in recent weeks. Dallas played a great game defensively, and we had players in and out of the game with injuries. We won, and that's all that matters.
2 parts to this game the O/D which played well then there was our atrocity of a special teams I mean fuck are they down syndrome special Quigley should be on the damn street !
Dallas has a good defense. Its underrated. Theyve kept them on a lot of games. Had Romo not gotten hurt, this is easily a 12 to 13 win team. Point being a close win is still a good win. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
Jets were getting beat pretty much all night on both sides of the line. It's rare that you win when that happens, so I'm happy. Still alive.
This is what I like about Fitzpatrick this year - he is at his sharpest when the clock is ticking down. Unlike some other QB I could name. He now has 2 games from behind this year. That's good!
I didn't hear the context, but I turned the radio on just in time to hear Bowles say, "You play to win the game," in the post game press conference. Gave me a bit of a chill.
