The NFL has a Saturday night game every year, I guess they want to get the New York market involved and get the most popular team involved for ratings. Same thought process to why the Cowboys and Jets got the Thanksgiving game back in 2007. Guess that's why the Oakland game was the team's lone 4PM game all year.
I think if they Jets win two of their last three, they'll get in. It's senseless to go over the myriad of scenarios, right now, but I think a win over NE or BUF will do it.
Don't forget we win out and the Patriots lose out. Gotta keep the best scenario in mind right up until the point it won't work any more.
My memory was that McGuire said that BEFORE the fish game. Which makes it even more incredible. I could be wrong.
WOW ... Just looked it up and you're right. Truly incredible. What an asshole! What would ever make him say that about a 10-1 team??
that was when the nbc show had a live studio audience. (You youngsters can imagine what that was like.) When he said that, the studio literally erupted in incredulous laughter. In retrospect, it's one of the most amazing prognostications on sports history. This was an era before skip Bayless and Stephen A. And this mother effer said the 10-1 Jets, on an 8-game win streak (!!!), would lose out. I hated him at the time, but holy shit.
We win against Dallas, and either The pats or the Bills and we are in..... There's a chance the Steelers lose to Denver next week..... Here's hoping
Right now our conference record is 6-4 and steelers are at 5-4...if we win out as do the steelers we will both have 11-5 records and the same conference standings at 8-4...so how is it that they get in over us??
You know the league was banking bigtime on Dallas being still in it as well and they could sell a marquee Jets/Cowboys Saturday night type matchup, especially now with college football out of the picture for a while. As it is I wish the game was on a Sunday
I think the only way we get in at 10-5 is if we win both the NE and Buffalo game..and that's counting on the Steelers losing to the Broncos. I think were gonna have to win out to make the playoffs tbh.
Some kind of crazy three way tie thing if the Chiefs are thrown into it. There are lots of other scenarios that are too early to be discussed that may crop up though. What if KC wins out and Denver loses out (or goes 1-2) and we're 11-5. How do we factor into that tiebreaker? What if we're 10-6 and Cinci loses out (and is also 10-6) with McCarron and Pitt wins that division.
If you look at the schedules of the Chiefs and Steelers there's no way their losing more than one game a piece. I believe their both playing the ravens and Browns.
That picture of rivers with the teeth eyes is really freaky. It's grossing me out. It shows up on the main page in tapatalk. Maybe if I post this pic of a cute girl I found on google she'll show up instead. "Yay! We're not out of the playoffs yet!"
Shoot. It didn't work. Damn you back to the hell hole you came from teeth eyed rivers, you spawn of Satan
