Although it's 14 days away, we gotta start thinking about it now. We are 4-4, and NEED this win to even think about taking the afc east. Even with a win against the pats, depending on how the rest of the season plays out, we still may not win the AFCE after today's devastating loss. We have to hope the Pats lose tomorrow. If they do, they will be 5-2, then they get the colts, 5-3. So if everything plays out as expected (sorta) the jets, even after today's devastating loss, have a chance to have 1st in the AFCE if they can defeat NE in foxboro. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Can the jets really defeat the Pats in NE? Especially after losing to the Browns? Of course, the odds are slim, but any given sunday. The Jets need this one bad, a lose good pretty much end all of our playoff hopes with Chi coming to town the following week before we go back to a soft schedule. NE is a must-win, period. The Jets should've won today, but the refs fucked up a call, so now that's lost. So to make up for it, we gotta beat the Pats. Keep the hope alive.
I'll tell you this right now, we better hope they beat Indy next week. We can only hope it becomes a letdown game...because if they're ready for us, we're not going to win.
I hate to think about it like this but the Pats have two tough games coming up. Minnesota has been very good defensively this year and I think they have a good chance to beat the Pats. I also think that the Colts vs. Pats is a 50/50 game which could go either way. That game against the Pats is going to be huge but it will be a tough win.
I honestly do not know how anyone can even think about the Jets winning this division or a wildcard. Even if we beat the bears or Pats, we have to go 5-1 just to get to 10 wins.
Let's just sit back and enjoy- I think we're playing with house money against the Pats. We just cannot afford to go down early to them.
Can we please wait one day before we start a "lets move on thread"? I'm not finished fuming over this horrible game
I'm fuming, but it sure would be nice to steal one of the next two. If they did that, today wouldn't hurt so much. Please, steal one of these games for my sanity Jets!
SOJ would be they beat the Bears (which won't happen) and then lose a game to the Texans or Packers which would be the dagger
I don't see how anyone can be looking forward so soon. I'm still upset over todays loss, and I'm upset at the fact that the Jets don't have a game next Sunday
beating the Pats would definitely make up for this, and Mangini does have 2 weeks to prepare. And if we don't win, I at least hope Vilma or something runs into Belichiken on the sidelines and puts him in a coma.
I'm also still fuming, and will be hearing it all day tomorrow. But it's over, nothing we can do about it. The refs screwed us over.
Something tells me the Jets will walk off the field in Foxboro at 4-5 and the Patriots will walk off 8-1.
:rofl2: Rob just predicted that the Colts beat New England at home at an 8:15pm game in the middle of November. Let me go laugh my ass off now.
Minnesota and Indy both need to study what Denver did to the Pats. I still cant believe these guys havent lost a game since that day.
The mods should rename this thread The Weekly Countdown To RobA's Meltdown Thread - Vol I. To be bumped once a week. After which ensues a wailing tirade about draft position. Do I have your routine down yet, Rob?
