Bowles should be next in about half an hour. There are signs that he's gonna make some significant changes. Not committing to Fitz yesterday, waiving Coples today. But honestly, this stuff won't cut it. Fitz is not why we're losing, neither is Coples. The key changes will have to be on defense, namely Cro & DD being benched, Pace at the very least being limited to playing the run only. Start there. Anyway, Fitz was just on and he doesn't know anything about being benched.
Not committing to Fitz is idiotic. The last thing we need to do is create controversy at a position where there is none. Fitz is the best QB on the roster, end of discussion.
People complaining about fitz have an extremely short memory. Mark Sanchez, Simms, Vick and Geno smith are all guys we trotted out there before we hooked up with the beard. Now that were on our typical losing streak in the season everyone is ready to burn the man alive. Fitz made enough plays besides the two bone head int's to win the game. Smiths dropped td comes to mind. He is not perfect but hes the best option this team has.
I wouldn't bench Fitz, it's not like this offense is going to be any better under Geno. The playcalling has to be fixed, that's on Chan. He's been a complete moron over the last month or two. The offense has no identity either. One week we're running the ball down your throat, next week we focus on the shotgun and spreading out, throwing the ball all day. Get your shit together Chan.
I think we should keep playing Fitz. He'll end up benching himself on the IR eventually anyway. Then we can wait a game until Geno gets benched and start the inevitable ruination of any potential Petty has going for him.
If you are believer that the season is over you play GENO or petty. It really isn't complicated. If you think we have a shot at the postseason you roll with fitz. It isn't brain surgery here fellas
I wouldn't even play Geno if I thought the season was over. Either go with Petty or stick with Fitz and grind it out and see what happens.
