Well it was a good free agency period of we were in a position to win now. But we are not. So brining in 30 year old receivers and cornerbacks only gets this team a close to 500 record in 2015, and their skills will only decline. Carpenter and Skrine are better foundational picks. Easy to spend a ton and get better for one season. Jury is very much out
What would they get for him though? I guess we can give him away to Rex for like a conditional 6th or something. Even a 7th rounder, its better than nothing I suppose.
I don't think Geno has trade value at this point. Somebody will likely pick him up when the Jets cut him, because he has pretty good tools and they won't be investing much in the process, but his proven value at this point is very low. It is true that Matt Flynn and Kevin Kolb both got decent contracts from their second team but they had a game or two that made people think they might be able to play at a high level and it wasn't matched up with 20+ other starts that suggested otherwise.
sorry didn't reply sooner brother, Listen after seeing him play for the last couple of years its very obvious that Geno cant read a defense to save his life which is already a nail in the coffin for a QB, second you would think he would atleast learn when to throw it away, not run out bounds behind the scrimmage, its one dumb mistake after the other. I mean come on bro I don't hate the kid but I have seen enough to know that Geno will always be Geno and for that I would put in Petty and let him show off what he has. Not for nothing but you can always tell which QB has it from the start, the good ones have that it factor and I for one want to see if Petty has it and if not back to the drawing board
