The NEPs players are totally convinced that TB can bring them back in every game they play. Since the NYJs players know that Fitz can not do the same they are not as confident as the Pats players are that they can win the games in the same way the Pats players do. Also when it come brain power after Belly who else is on his level? Todd I doubt it. Bellichick is not a defensive mastermind, he is probably the most conservative defensive coach in the NFL, he plays the averages, he does not do anything that any other coach can't do. Did you see him use his TO to preserve time for his offense? Did you see him chase points during the game? Do you realize he uses 5 pass rushers? He makes the opposition go the length of the field as much as possible, and if the opposition does go the length of the field and wins the game, he gives them credit and tells it like it is, they made plays and we did not. When and if our coach learns to play the averages and use his TO and stops chasing points, he will be more successful than most guys. And yes, when the Jets find their franchise QB, they will get the 1st and 2nd seed on a consistent basis, playing one less game and having home field advantage during the playoffs.
BB can afford to do that because he has Brady, who can drive the offense downfield at any point in the game. bend and don't break works great when you have a top QB running the show. when we have dogshit like fitz and geno, the team is done for once you fall behind by two scores, so you have to play more aggressively and cause turnovers.
The difference between the NYJs and NEPs is that the the NEPs have Belly and TB who have more VLTs than JWN and the NYJs!

It really is that simple. And as great of a coach as Belicheck is, the Pats don't win games like yesterday if not for Brady. Belicheck might've won a Super Bowl or two if Brady never happened. But he has made more of a difference for Belly's career than the other way around IMO.
It was just crazy to watch how calm he was the entire time. 4th and 10. Calm cool and collected. The play before spike they converted. Calm cool and collected as the final seconds ticked down. It's just ridiculous how good he is. I hate him as much as the next guy does but god damn, he is just unbelievable. You KNEW with 1:48 left in the clock they were going to go down and score. There was no doubt in my mind. My dad asked me what the Vegas ML would be if you live bet the patriots at that point down 2 with 1:48 left and I said it has to be New England even or -$. Its why I cant kill Coughlin for going for 6 instead of trying to work the clock and kick the FG. Against Brady you need the TD everytime or he'll beat you. And thats what he did. Looking ahead at their remaining schedule the Denver game looks very winnable. Jets might be the only thing in their way of a perfect regular season.
You guys are overlooking one very important thing. the NEP's know how to win close games. Just look at the Giant game yesterday for proof. That know-how comes from experience. You don't get there overnight. The NEP's know how to win. It would appear the Bengals have learned that as well. We still have a few lessons in front of us to learn.
Look guys. The paramount reason is far and away TB. No ifs, ends or buts about it. He has total and absolute control of the offense, he can read a defense quicker than any other human being and fire the ball with accuracy within 2-3 seconds. He can throw into double coverage and hand pick his receivers. HE IS ONE OF THE KIND. BB is an outstanding coach but not the mad genius you guys are making him out to be. He plays solid, No nonsense disciplined and conservative defense and an aggressive but controlled offense. His biggest talent is to get players that fit his system or he changes the system to max his players. He has surrounded Brady with a monster TE and receivers that run spectacular routes, and seem to always get open. If Bowles is blessed with a QB close to Brady some day he can be just as effective. He is currently taking more risks than he would like because we have weaknesses to overcome. Bowles has the making of a great HC, and he will improve over time. Rex on the other hand, maxed out the day he entered the NYJ facility and tapered off from there.
