I mention this because I know with the loss to the Fags earlier this season, there may be a problem later on if we have a shot at the playoffs. David Garrard is as nice a guy as you may find in sports, but he is not a very good QB. The handful of Fags fans down here (It's a handful again because of the losing ways of late). Watch him barely complete 50% of his passes today and throw a couple of picks, especially on the road.
Not really, he was 9-20 passing but had 2 TD's. That's just another example of how bad he is! When you beat a team 41-0, even if your QB is in on a limited basis, you still should be better than 50% on your completions. Everything clicked for the Fags that day and Leftwich was still awful; and that was not even an exception, it's the rule for Leftwich. Let me tell you, Leftwich has gotten a pass ever since he has been here! Coming out of college, I thought that he was going to be something special. Leftwich has shown flashes at times, but 4 years later, he is still the same QB. He still has that ridiculous wind up when he throws the ball and holds on to the ball way too long; another thing is, he has rarely shown touch. ALL of Leftwich's passes are 90 mph. I think the reason why the NFL even has him in their commercials is because they were trying to push the black QB (Along with Culpepper, McNabb, Vick, Brooks, at the time etc...). I don't think that it was a coincidence, that the league upped their promotion of the black QB after the Rush Limbaugh situation. It's even funnier here in J-Ville to hear the necks speak about Leftwich when he had first come here; unfortunately for them, and ironically, the Fags just happen to be the first team in league history to have all three of their QB's of African-American decent (Leftwich, Garrard and Quinn Gray)
