Guy looked very good yesterday. Had 6 catches for 41 yards but made a beautiful catch in traffic on the sideline and looked very good. Definitely could be a useful weapon in the future.
Yeah, that was a pleasant surprise. If Marshall or Decker go down then he could fill in pretty nicely based off of what I saw yesterday.
Wouldn't get too excited about him, but he did have a good game. Made a really nice catch for a 1st down over the middle on a ball that was slightly overthrown. Offense didn't do shit after, but it was a nice catch nonetheless
Glad the Jets were able to grab this guy. That was a great catch over the middle and the second great catch by him in as many weeks. Devin Smith's picture is now on milk cartons. That guy better get his ass in gear.
Why not? Lol He had two great games and provides solid depth at a very important position. Why can't I get "too excited" about him?
I'm not saying you can't. I personally just wouldn't. We have seen many players over the years have good games or good couple of games and never turn out to much. Now, I hope he does turn out to be a hidden gem, but there must be a reason why he has bounced around the league
Thursday might be his last game to "audition" because after Thursday, Bowles favorite Quincy Enunwa's 4 game suspension is up. Don't know if they keep more than 5 WRs. Thompkins has shown me more than Enunwa but I also think Enunwa's blocking and size may have some coaches fancy him more.
Wow I forgot about Enunwa. Could this be a contributing factor to why Ivory has been a non factor? Ivory loves to bump it outside and Enunwa has been quite good for us blocking on the edge.
Productive game BUT --- he also committed one of the worst sins a WR can make ... Failed to move the chains on a completed pass on an important 3rd and 4 because he ran the pattern 3 1/2 yards! INEXCUSEABLE. Can't happen. You absolutely MUST run past the marker in that spot. Was I the only one shouting at the screen as our horrendous punt team was running on the field?
He seems like a poor man's Santonio Holmes. I like what I saw of him in Oakland last week. Decent hands and always gets open. As Pulsejet says it's time for Devin Smith to get his sh*t together and show something or it will be a lost year.
I forgot about this but I do remember thinking the exact same thing when I saw it. That was just really poor awareness
It's a trick by Bellichik to have Thompkins make a key play (fumble / tipped int) in the Pats favor in the game against them near the end of the year. I think the same with Ridley.
Absolutely, he hypnotized them and they are double agents.. I'm gonna remember this thread on dec 27!
I liked him when gel played for the pats. I thought he would be their next stud wr. Was shocked when he was cut by them
I think you use this as a redshirt year for Devin Smith. Gailey said he's really struggling to learn the offense, and he missed all of TC.
As much of a Kerley fan as I am, ----- this CS doesn't seem to have him in the plans after this season. It looks to me like its --------- B. Marshall / E. Decker / Q. Enunwa / D. Smith / K. Thompkins
