The game weather this weekend for the jets game will be 30 mph wind and it will be 46 degrees. This is the worst thing that couldve happened because this will pretty much shut down our passing game and it will work towards the Browns strength, their rushing attack.

Schotti has plenty of short routes and Penny has demonstrated enough zip on the ball this year to deliver, even in the wind. And our WR's all have good hands. If we can get a lead and hold onto it by running the ball, the wind won't be a factor and we'll keep their offense off the field.

That's my game-plan and I'm stickin' to it.

    The Browns have a run-game?

It's funny but I think with OUR run game we can handle the wind. Earlier on in the season, if we didn't have Leon Washington, I'd say this game could easily be won by the Browns because we had no run game. But now we've established something.

I think Schotti has worked with the O as far as passing into the wind goes.

As long as we get that wind in the second and fourth quarter, we're good to go.

We will have enough of a running game to beat them.. i just can't see us losing this game the way we have been playing the last two weeks

The Browns are averaging 68.2 yards rushing per game, second worst in the NFL. They're averaging 3.1 yards per carry, which is also second worst in the NFL. They have 28 rushing first downs, which is third worst in the NFL. They have had one rush of 20 or more yards (only Arizona has had zero). (The last two stats are affected by the fact that they've had their bye already, of course.)

The new O-coordinator (who mangini wanted to hire away) is more focused on the running game than Carthon. I expect that the Brown will run the ball in-between the tackles. Droughn is a north-south runner who picks a whole and hits it rather than trying to make anybody miss.

And don't forget that the Browns D yields 144.2 rushing yards per game. So the weather will work in our favor too.

I have no problem with our offense being able to move the chains. It's our DEF that needs to tighten up. The only way we lose tomorrow is by allowing too many yards, even when the game is on the line and especially in the 4th quarter. We're not playoff material if we keep allowing that.

Yeah, the weather in Ohio is crappy right now; very windy and torrential rains. I was watching the Ohio/Kent State game and it's supended in the 3rd qtr. because of the inclimate weather.

Whatever the weather, I think that the Jets will prevail tomorrow.

If the passing game is shut down, the draw game will be hard to work. If the draw play is shut down by definition, Leon Washington, at this stage of his career, is shut down.

What effects one team will effect the other. Wind will hurt kicking and the passing game. The Browns rush defense is among the worst 1/3 of the league and our defense is starting to show better pressure and run stopping.

Now I have to pick up a QB if you guys do not think Pennington will work out. I have Brunell, who is on BYE, so my choices are limited. I can get TB's QB (I can't spell it off thetop of my head.. starts with a G) or Walter... ouch, I think I'll take my chances.

Yeah, I would just stick with Penny this weekend. Those other options are just not that good.
