    Per source, Jets already are making calls about potential quarterbacks who may be available to be signed or traded.

    Signed is different than traded. We have our shortlist of emergency guys. Guys like Josh Johnson, Matt Flynn, just in case. But we're not gonna call the Redskins to trade for RG3 while our game is on, or any other similar franchise type QB.

    Who do you think is more accurate? Geno Smith in a football game or Hellen Keller at a shooting range? Discuss.

    That's tough to gauge until I see Keller shoot. I'd give it even money.

    That might be a little difficult given her situation. Nice to see Geno pull off one drive.

    I think we sign Mallette unless Mac hates him. Isn't Johnson with the Bills. Maybe Flynn who's not that bad.

    What, you mean dead and rotted? I figure that just gives Geno a fighting chance.... otherwise my money would be on the significantly handicapped person over Geno every time.

    Love how the thread of everyone saying they wouldn't want Drew Brees for a 3rd round pick "disappears" after he throws 7 TDs and Fitz gets hurt and Geno plays like Geno.

    Make all of the calls you want for a QB, but with this defense playing like absolute shit, there's huge problems on both sides of ball...

    If they don't want to have petty play yet you need another QB to backup geno or start over him

    They're not getting Brees. As for Petty during pre-season he looked like a rookie in his first game but was a lot better in the other exhibition games. But he hasn't been activated for the past two weeks so the assumption is the team doesn't think he's ready. Our best bet is Mallette who started games this season. Also Fitz played with him last season. So unless they think he's a troublemaker it looks like a good match.

    Was a stupid idea to begin with. They aren't going to trade the savior of that franchise. He doesn't want to leave and they don't want him to leave. Plus they are one game out of the playoffs they have no reason to trade him even if he wanted out.
