So tell me this, raiderjoe, you were fully expecting NO PLAYOFFS for the Raiders this season?

we all know hes talking out of his ass. we listened to him talk about the young defense and so on. how kerry collins was the problem and and blah blah blah blah

i wouldnt say anything about this unless he wasnt trying to bash the jets as if "well you guys are lucky and were a year away from the playoffs, so its ok for our team to blow tubesteak because penny is a result of your schedule and andrew walters was told by art shell to struggle for a whole year so nobody will expect him to take over our division next year."

P.S. Dwight Schrute could probably make the raiders at this point

    thats for you 117 hahaha

The raiders are the laughing stock of the nfl! How can someone come in and try to diss our team with his team having only 1 win? It boggles the mind how some people can be so stupid. Just lose baby a commitment to failure should be the raiders motto.

Penny is one of the anchors of our offense right now, and yes, he's the reason we have 4 wins. And he is doing it without a decent running game (although we may see more as Leon develops). I doubt seriously we will sneak into the playoffs though. That would require a team effort by the defense. But every player has limitations. The key is having a game plan that lessens their impact and keys on the strengths. The Penny is exposed theory is busted. He can beat good teams with good defenses. And I am far more confident of his ability to do that than of Walters from the Raiders.

I don't bring up the "I" word anymore with Penny. I don't want to jinx him. Obviously the coaching staff had to be smart and draft a decent pick at QB. That is just smart being the draft was held sooner than they could tell about his comeback being possible.

Walter might pan out to be a good QB. I always say the draft is a crapshoot. But playing on a crappy team with a horrible coaching staff is a #1 way to screw up a player for years. Given the current rate of progress, the Jets are already far ahead of the Raiders in terms of rebounding and becoming a better team.

Is there anyone more selfless than Curtis Martin? The guy is so unselfish, it's just plain weird for him, being an athlete. He takes a paycut to stay with the Jets, doesn't try to go to another team for big bucks, and now is training the guy who is taking his job. What a guy.

YEs If you look up my post, I said Raiders would win easy eight games . Never said they would be a playoff team as it was going to take a very young team time to gell,.

Lets see how far off I am on my eight game prediction. Raiders have to win six of of nine games. I know you saying but there 10 games left. well raiders play the Jets an easy win.

Exactly remember watch out for raiders defense. What did alot of people say about those predictions. Time to give me some major props. Well if you look Raiders have the fifth best defense in all of football and it is an incredible young defense.(only going to get better with time) Thetre is a reason why mangini a defensive minded coach has been raiding Raiders rejects on defense.

Pretty soon what I was talking about will pretty much come to fruition. Will you be man enough to admit the errors of your way. Lets look at facts , Raiders are one youngest teams on both sides of the ball made up mostly of their own draft choices. 2 Have been grooming their Qb of the future, and will be like 40millionunder next year cap. You throw in some very high draft picks supplementing already very young roster and yo0u have a dynasty.

Then, are you a glutton for punishment?

You strongly felt the Raiders were going to win around 8 games, and just insinuated that they wouldn't make the playoffs, but before the season, you were oh-so-willing to make a sig bet that lasted the ENTIRE offseason based on playoff appearance.

Time will tell but I do know Jets won't be going anywhere either. IF Championship are indeed won with a defense. Than Jets might have to wait thirty plus more years. Jet offense nothing to write home about either. See Jaguars a very good defense shuting out that offense.
alot of AFC east fans have to be happy with Jets predictment. A Very bad team that because of schedule, going to do alot better record wise ,than what they really are talent wise. (Fools gold) What it means first Jets are going to miss the playoffs, not get the blue chip player, and didn't get a chance to develop their QB of future. All this year did was raise Jet fans expectations for next year. setting alot of Jets fans up for major dissapointment next season.

I like his potential. Maybe CMart can be a running Back coach. I'd love for him to stay with the organization.

First off your missing some facts. YEs I said raiders would win eight games easily and did say I be willing to bet you on playoff. (Fact you never wanted any part of) IT all changed my prediction when the veteran A Brooks who was to be the bridge to a Walter for a year was injured. I can't believe alot of you Jets fans can't comprehend this concept. Rarely does any first year Qb comes in without going through growing pains. (Even great Peyton manning struggled his first year) There a reason why Raiders wanted Brooks to be starter, because they had ideas about 2006. Only if Brooks falter early would raiders have went to A walter later. Raiders got an early start on 2007 (trying to develop there QBof future under fire). Lets see how A walter does down the stretch. kid starting to come on.

BTw Answer this question. pennington goes down for season against browns what does that do for you hope for maybe finding a way into playoffs.

    Yeah... about that defense.

You have played 3 games against 3 of the most inexprienced QBs in the league. And lost all 3 games. Charlie Frye and Alex Smith lit you up for 3 TD passes each.

Your pass D looks decent on paper, but maybe that's because no D in the league is having fewer passes attempted against them than the Raiders this year? That has a lot to do with the QBs you faced this year. A raw Philip Rivers in his first game (11 attempts, still won), Alex Smith (19 attempts) and Jake "My coach has me by the balls and won't let me throw" Plummer (18 attempts).

Baltimore managed to put up 28 on you and they're only averaging 15 points per game.

But yeah ... "getting better each week" ... since 2003.

You thought Aaron Brooks was going to get it done? He was the glue that held the team together? :rofl2:

    You have officially lost it.

Pennington >>>>> Aaron Brooks. Brooks was not taking you to the playoffs. He does not win games. He sucks. The fact that you thought he was going to be a difference maker is hilarious to me.

Barry Sanders was the best pure runner to ever put on cleats, and there will never be another.

On the other hand, Terrell Davis was an average running back who had gone to Long Beach State (When George Allen was the coach). When the program was discarded, he became an oft-injured back with the Georgia Bulldogs. There is not anyone out there who could tell me that they thought that Terrell Davis was even going to make a roster based on his college play.

At least Leon had shown extended flashes of being a very good player (135 yds in his first start against Florida in his true freshman season; 97 yard touchdown via kickoff against Clemson in that same true freshman season; 195 yards on 12 carries against West Virginia, while earning Gator Bowl MVP honors; averaging 6.9 yards a carry in his junior year, #2 in the country, only a fraction less than DeAngelo Williams that same year!
