Little do they know Fitz is the best QB we've had here since Favre. He actually completes 60%, throws more TDs then INT's
doesn't fumble at will and doesn't fuck up basic pre snap reads and take 20 yd sacks... That's not saying a lot but he doesn't suck
he's a solid QB who has us at 4-1... Don't have any clue for fitz shit talk.

Surprised Fitzmagic is still getting slammed.

I guess there's just no value in a QB that bounces back from WRs coughing up the ball, who goes on to rush 15 yards for a first down, then rushes 18yds for a touchdown, gets crazy-eyed, and rallies the team for its fourth double digit victory while compiling a 113.1 passer rating.:(

I'll listen to people complain about Fitz every week if this is the result. I like to think I have realistic expectations for him, which some people don't seem to grasp. He's doing what he needs to do to win games. Not to mention I've always loved the passion he plays with. We don't have Aaron Rodgers on the bench people, enjoy Fitz the game manager, because that's what we have.

Next week will definitely be a huge test for him, though.

Carpenter has transformed the offensive line. The guy between D'Brick and Mangold doesn't need help for the first time since maybe 2009. Even Faneca wasn't so good in pass protection but the Jets could run through his gap no problem.

1 of his picks was tipped. Another was a clear PI that wasn't called. He did have the 1 pick this week that imo wasn't even that bad of a throw. Almost every throw today was spot on, and we won by 13. If not for that fluke blocked punt, we could have easily won by 20.

WE HAVE WON ALL 4 GAMES BY 13+ points.

Are these the Jets we're watching???

    This doesn't happen.

    These aren't the SOJ.

All this talk is meaningless. The discussion starts next week.

You cant possibly deduce that. Besides the upgrade wirh carpenter and the huge upgrade with BM, which instantly creates more opportunities for everyone, by putting decker on the number two corner, guys are open faster and more often.......fitz works with a limited play package, designed to minimize mistakes. The ball is released quickly and it leads to high comp %. We saw this with pennington. He had some success.
    I hope its enough.

And based on Fitzpatrick's "history'? Thats meaningless....especially a third year qb.

You can certainly say fitz is playing good, but you cant assume geno smith would absolutely not.
We could go through a list of qbs who have had great success after a shaky start........many times in year 3 and many times after adding a piece.
P Manning, Troy Aikman off the top
But for some reason it is written in stone that geno will suck..no doubt. lol
Elway, Tarkenton, Steve Young....a few more. Alex Smith.

I won't call Fitzpatrick a great QB but he does (at least up to now) what the Jets have needed for a long time, he takes care of the ball and doesn't put the defense in bad situations . Right now the Jets are a Defensive, run based team and thus far Fitz has more TD's than interceptions and fumbles. He's been an efficient passer with 62.9% . He's been, in short an average QB who takes care of the ball. Nothing wrong with that, well one thing's wrong with that. he turns 33 next month so he's a temp solution. But as long as the Jets have a top flight defense this is exactly the type of QB that its the minimum requirements to have great team seasons.

The Jets may, indeed, lose but I'm not buying into the invincibility theory of the 2015 Patriots just yet. They are a beatable team that will lose games this year. The question is "which ones?"

This. The first few games they had were cupcake type games. Tonight was a challenging game on paper, and the score wasn't a blowout by any means.

After Sanchez and Smith where you are scared every time they drop back that they are going to throw an interception or a pick six. Im quite enjoying the relatively safe play of Fitz, his movement in the pocket and his ability to avoid sacks. Some of his downfield throws suck big time. But I can handle that over the play of the previous two QB's.

Fitz been great. Getting rid of the ball on time consistently huge...mostly because it prevents 2nd and 3rd and long sitiations that Fitz especially cannot aford to have since he doesnt have the great arm talent. He has exceeded expectations and is clearly an upgrade over Geno (not even close). The one area where i thought we would miss Geno was in scambling for first downs/tds and Fitz's ability to do this over and over again wipes out that concern. I think his quickness and savvy is underrated (commentators saying he is slow, etc.). It doesnt look pretty but the guy gets it done and has heart....you can also tell how much his teammates like and respect him in terms of how they celebrate big plays with him, help him off the turf, etc. Rarely if ever got that vibe with Geno.

It's good that Fitz is 'slow' which means the other teams will never have a 'spy' keeping him corralled up. This will give Fitz an opening to run at least 5yrds any time he wants. Maybe even 18yrds for a TD on occasion.

to me kerley doesnt even belong on the team anymore. he isnt a quality wr, even depth wise. his real value was on special teams, where all he does is fair catch everything or run backwards
