thought he played well and i have wanted to see geno. i agree he limits the o but today he was good. his bad throws were his usual bad throws but his good throws were really good. the throw to decker that was dropped was as good as it gets from any qb.

What impresses you? A 100% completion game? Fitz went 19/26 (73%!), 2 pass TDs and an 18 yard rush TD. And at least 3 of those 7 incompletions were drops by the WRs. The ignorance of some Jets fans is truly mind boggling.

Fitz played well today. I don't think we threw the deep ball once all game and just stuck to short-intermediate throws (Fitzpatrick's strength). Right now we're winning and the offense is doing a good job masking his deficiencies. There's no need to change the QB. Even if Geno came in, it would take him some time to fully adapt again. I still believe Geno would be putting up the same (if not better) numbers as Fitz because the scheme and supporting cast is night and day compared to the last 2 years. But right now, Fitz is getting the job done and I'm going to support him as my starting QB.

Nah, he was good today. He got bailed out on the Marshall throw, but he was very solid overall and made a great play with his legs.

I think this next game against NE will pretty much show us all if Fitz is capable of getting us wins in the post season. Nobody expects him to throw the team on his back and carry them BUT he needs to be able to get the job done against a higher caliber opponent.

Considering NE is probably the best team in the league, I'll ask that the team helps him out...We need the running game and our WRs to step up and make life easier for Fitzpatrick.

Totally expecting the Patsies to stop our running game to force Fitzy to beat the Cheats

The reality is Fitz is the better decision maker and everyone here has said he has is limitations. Everyone here can agree fitz is not the long term solution. The catch is Geno is no a long term solution either. The main thing limiting Geno is Geno's choices on and off the field. I hope he doesn't start again in a Jet Uniform for two reasons. one we are winning and two we have found a better qb

the catch is any defense can take away one aspect of the other teams plans. I expect to see the same or similar game plan as to when they played the jills those yrs

    Stats do no
It's the type of throws Fitzpatrick is limited to that will tell the story. I hate stats. They don't always tell the real story, but that is your choice.

Gunther spent a lot of time in the hole.

    He doesn't think very straight.

Yeah, but the thing is we really dont know that geno is not the answer. Its that simple.

You cant compare 2015 fitzpatrick to 2014 smith.

only a fool would argue that fitzpatrick hasnt earned the job indefinitely.
But you cant blame anyone for wondering what this team COULD be with a solid air attack.....adding the devin smith dimension. Damn.

Of course, we will all have a much clearer perspective a week from now.
Hopefully our defense can keep it within reach.

I also have to say that stats are not everything. Fitz is much like pennington right now. Although Id probably take CP.
When your offense consists of only short passes and screens, you are bound to have a high completion rate and when you get some nice yac, then your line will look great.

Fitz played wonderfully. And as long as we dont get behind too far, were ok

stats never tell the whole story.

fitz doesn't make it look pretty, that's for sure. so far what he has done though is move the chains and put points on the board.

its hard to argue with that, as ugly as it may be. that's probably why we see fewer and fewer people mentioning the backup qb every week.

Fitz is terrible, defense and Ivory are carrying this team. God, the circle jerk over Fitzpatrick after every ho-hum game is obnoxious.

Throw in the Geno reach-around, after a fukn win no less, and it's downright offensive

Fitzpatrick will check it down for a loss just to keep his completion percentage high instead of throwing it into the dirt. I can't take it seriously.

Fitzpatrick isn't any more limited than Chad was from 2004 onwards. If Chad had a defense like this one we'd have won a Super Bowl if he stayed healthy that season. Not saying Fitzpatrick is as good as Chad was, because he's not but seriously, if the defense is lights out all year we've got as good a chance as anybody to win a Super Bowl, and that's with Fitzpatrick just managing things for us.

I see your points, but disagree on the the geno part about people wondering. There is no need to wonder his actions that led to the fight and the fact a punch was thrown should tell everyone all they need to know about Geno's mindset and how he has not grown as a qb/an more importantly as a person.
He was benched because he had a broken jaw and what led to that?
Could Geno win with this offense yes but that is not the qb I want I want a qb that will make players around him better and that is not Geno.

At the same point you can't compare the 2014 Fitz to the 2015 Fitz. This is not built for a qb to win it on his own , because we do not have that qb on the roster. Fitz is the best at managing this offense and making the right reads. Fitz has done that well and has a good relationship with his receivers. This team is built for the qb not to loose the game as well as win the game on his own.

Geno has not read a defense and has issue making his progressive reads.......
