The team is 4-1. We have Geno F'n Smith on the bench. No team with half a brain would bench their starting 4-1 QB for Geno Smith. Why is this an issue?
At no point today did Ryan Fitzaptrick look like a pro-bowler today (i.e. Like a TOP 3 quarterback in the AFC).
Fitz continues to throw a few head scratchers per game, but his intensity on that TD run definitely ignited the team some and you can see the offense is rallying around him. At this point unless Fitz gets injured Geno doesnt see the field.
Oh so now we're splitting hairs?! ...unbelievable, some fans on here... I mean really, what game were you watching today?!?!
This is probably the best QB & OC combo we've had since Testaverde/Weis. Fitz is not spectacular but he and Gailey are at least on the same page. Doesn't hurt that we have amazing WRs, either.

Genobots are becoming annoying to the extreme with their endless Geno pimping. It doesn't seem to matter if the Jets win, but only that Geno isn't in the game They are worse than Tebots.
How can one justify being a Genobot...That dude has barely done anything! They must be pimped out by his agents to spread like wild fire, because no one wants Geno.
If Fitz plays like he did today and vs the Browns, we're contenders. If he plays like he did vs the Eagles and Dolphins, we're not. We'll see who shows up when the games matter. Great job by him today.
Fitzpatrick was not impressive. We won because we have a sound team, but it is obvious that he cannot make all the throws. They keep him out of certain types of offensive plays, and eventually it will be our undoing. In order to go all the way your QB has to be able to make all the throws.
The guy averaged close to ten yards per attempt, accounted for three touchdowns, completed better than 75 percent of his passes and had a QB rating of better than 113. To say he was not impressive today is beyond absurd.
Well, im suprised this thread is active right now. Absolutely no way you bench fitz rite now. but i might as well respond for the hundreth time that nobody is saying geno is that great. Smh. We're saying fitz is limited and he still is. We're saying, once again, that our starter MAY be an upgrade from our backup. That is also still true. BUT since there are other factors involved, the reality right now is we must stay with fitz....and hopefully we meet the pats on a bad day at our best.
