KFFL Breaking News Report: Romo to Start Week 8 Mac Engel, of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo will get the start in Week 8, according to a source. He is expected to begin practicing with the first team Wednesday, Oct. 25, and will do so all week. Romo replaced QB Drew Bledsoe in the second half of the team's Week 7 game, however, he was picked off three times as the Cowboys lost 36-22 to the New York Giants.
This was pretty much expected, although the O line is much more to blame than Bledsoe's performance. Strayhan wasn't even blocked at all on several occasions.
the best one was the safety where no one even got in front of Arrington, who just leaped at him as soon as the ball was snapped.
Not that Bledsoe is great, but he's taking too much blame for what is going on in Big D. They couldn't run the ball, didn't block a blitzing LB on a safety, he throws 1 int and he's ineffective, Romo throws 3 and its growing pains...
Drew Bledsoe has been one of the worst starting QBs in the league since around 1999. Parcells made a HUGE mistake when he signed him last year, he could have gotten the same production out of a Vinny for another year at a lesser cost and it would have forced him to get a Brees or McNair this offseason and if they had one of those 2 guys they'd be legit SB contenders instead of a mid of the pack team.
