Gave him an F - but then, anybody would be getting F with fucking Quigley as his punter.

A hot mess, terrible punter, poor return men, poor coverage...

That starts with this thing called hang time, which Quigley gives almost NONE of.

42 yard punt straight up fair catch, I would settle for, almost singlehandedly cost us the game yesterday

    D. It could be worse - no muffed punts, fumbles, or blocked kicks. Otherwise, our special teams has been pretty lousy, especially in coverage.

    D. Despite all the pains, he has not sent Walter Powell on the field to receive punts.

Kerley hesitate and return punt 5 yards ala Wayne Chrebet...Stacey 22 yards and a cloud of dust

Was originally gonna give an F but decided to bump it up to D. Special Teams has been terrible but so has the talent. I don't believe any special teams coach can develop a solid punting game featuring Quigly. KO returners are so slooooow. It's not like this special teams unit has amazing talent and is just under achieving. Unlike most Jets fans, I'm OK with having Kerley back there. He doesn't gain any yardage but he never muffs the punt either. Plenty of other areas to upgrade before punt returner.

    D. We have the wrong personel on kick returns and punt returns (kerley can fair catch like a beast but isn't there anyone else who doesnt run slowmo straight into traffic?) , we suck stopping opposing teams returning punts, we miss a lot of tackles in general and our punter has jelly leg. Folk is having another solid year so far though. I always wonder with all the people in the world, how the fuck are there not more talented punters out there? Plus our onside kick shenanigans sucked too.

Any reason why a team based around our defense and field position can't find a great or even good punter?

Seems like for years we have been getting owned just about every week in the punter vs. punter matchup

My biggest issue is the coverage teams. Both returning & defending. I haven't seen a single seam for a returner(no matter how crappy...Hello Vikings shopping Corradelle Patterson) they are rarely in good position when the PR initially catches the ball, they are slow off blocks & the tackling has been atrocious.

I look at a team w/ this much talent & depth and wonder how the ST units can appear so porous. This needs to get fixed ASAP. Poor special teams should not be tolerated.

Cordarelle Patterson would be a great pickup....good call

  19. I cannot stand Quigley. Average release, average hang time & below average distance.

Somehow though he set the Jets franchise record for Net average for a Punter. It wasn't even that impressive of a #.I wanna say something like 38.3. Turns out we haven't had a good Punter pretty much ever. Tom Tupa?

I'm just sick of watching punters against the Jets blast the ball out of their own endzone after a great defensive stand and we end up getting the ball back on our own 30

When our offense gets pinned, our punters (including Quigley) seem to shank or choke and the offense will usually get the ball around midfield at minimum

    Never fails
