Stop. They're in London 5 time zones away.

Not a dig at anyone. A dig at where they are- f-ing NFL.

I saw that video yesterday, and I really think you're looking too much into it. They were just clarifying since they've had this extreme time change.

    Horrible thread title.

Yeah being in London, 5 time zones over probably had nothing to do with it. An incident over a year ago where several players missed a meeting on a 1 day trip under the former regime is much more likely.

    Nice troll job.

That belief seems just naive to me, but to each his own.

5 times zones away? extreme time change? haha.

Just for reference, a standard west coast trip is 3 time zones away, and is 60% as extreme.

In NFL terms, flying to London is "extreme" because it doesn't happen often. In fact, the Jets put a lot of effort into ensuring that their players wouldn't be jet lagged, etc. when they went to London.

Fair enough. Not downplaying the significance of the trip. As you say, it's not common.

Was just pointing out that the difference between that and a standard west coast trip doesn't seem to justify a need for a time zone reminder of a Tuesday meeting back in NY.

To me, it clearly seemed like a dig at someone who once was "late" to a meeting from not understanding the time zone.

That's exactly the thought I had when I saw it.

    I must be an antigenite.

If I was a larger man with nothing to live for I'd find out who this was and slap the isht out of him for infringing on one of my pet peeves.

Eastern Standard Time doesn't begin until November. We're currently operating under Eastern Daylight Time. Doesn't stop people from using EST every single time they want to reference the eastern time zone, though.

I thought it was just a bit of banter, not a dig at all.

You have to have a pretty elaborate agenda to think this was a shot at Geno...

Omg, i can't believe someone said that. The whole team hates geno he should be cut dragged through the streets and placed in a stockade for public humiliation. This new bit of evidence can not be overstated. He is usa public enemy number 1 and the reason for all that is bad in thw universal.

The only thing I have a problem with this is that they didnt change the breakdown to "God Save the Jets" for this game

Well I wouldn't go quite that far. But I generally agree. The only part i disagree with is the first sentence. I am not surprised at all that someone said that.
