Fletcher Cox and Brandon Bair whipped him pretty good. Other than that he did OK, but he wasn't blocking anybody worth a damn. NT Bennie Logan is no threat as a pass rusher, he's Snacks lite and Winters did good against him. But with Cox and Bair he was severly overmatched, those guys tossed him around a couple of times. At least two plays where he was beaten badly and they really only lined up on him a handful of times only. It's not like he saw Cox all day. There's no shame in getting beat by Cox a couple times during the game but he only blocked them a couple of times 1 on 1 and he didn't look good at all. I hope he steps up and does better next week but considering how much he struggled with Cox and Bair I think we should just expect him to be tossed around a handful of times next week against the Dolphins. They will put Suh on him, they will try to take advantage of him. I'd actually be surprised if he only gets beat badly once or twice that game and I'll give him credit. But I expect him to struggle bigtime. Hope I'm wrong.
Oday now with Houston, my friend just smoked pot with him at a party. Those still wondering why Winters is on our roster instead of him, this may help. Supposedly a very nice guy.
Hunter really wasn't that bad. He was made to look worse than he was due to sanchez's inability to read defenses.
You were saying what? Remember. This season [Hunter's first season as a full time RT] started off with a sack off WFH, via courtesy of DeMarcus Ware. Wasn't that bad? My fucking ass.
I think this is ISmokePot's buddy that smoked weed with Oday last week. Wayne Hunter was utter horse shit. He couldn't even get his hands on the DL before they were sacking Sanchez which had nothing to do with the QB. Plus your theory doesn't explain very well why Austin Howard didn't have the same issues blocking for the same QB
I've been looking for that video-I think it was taken down for a while. One of the worst turnstile performances I've ever seen. _
Wow he had one bad play against one of the most dominant pass rushers in the game. Great example. Why didn't Sanchez make adjustments at the line to account for Miller on that play? That's right, because he sucked. Hunter wasn't Larry Allen but he wasn't totally awful either.
Sounds like you started watching the games right around your join date on here. Here's some numbers to help you remember how utterly shitty Hunter was Andre Carter had 4 sacks in a game. Jason Babin had 3. JPP had 2. The Giants D in the next year's preseason had 4 sacks. 11 penalties. It wasn't one bad play against a good player (who was only in his rookie year), it was just consistently bad play that should have had him benched. Re-living those numbers makes me wonder what kind of dirt Hunter must have had on Rex to have started the entire season.
Jesus. I guess I've been around being a Jets fan way too long. I have never expected I'd see a day when someone actually defends the human abomination that is Wayne Fucking Hunter. Holy fuck.
