It'll be interesting to see what they do with the inactives. Owusu & Decker are probably out, I think we'll activate Devin (only) at WR and let Enunwa take Decker's spot along with Kerley in the slot. Stacy will probably be active regardless of whether Ivory plays or not. Walls is out, don't think they'll activate a corner to take his spot. Maybe the safety we signed (Martin). Petty will probably be the #2 again. Reilly is out, his snaps will go to Mauldin. Let's hope everything goes well for him.
The injury bug will plague us all season but there is enough depth at all those positions to win this one. I wish they would keep both Decker and Ivory out this week because the next game in London is more important.
Was hoping to have Decker out there as a decoy. But playing it cautious is probably the right way to go if he's able to only miss 1 week. Will be interesting to see who steps up alongside Marshall.
I think we'll get by this week without Decker so this is a smart move "long term". But we have to see how this affects the Eagles and how they'll try to take Marshall out now. They can double him all game unless Enunwa/Kerley/Devin step up and make some plays. If they don't it could be a long day for Fitz.
Decker being out sucks but better to rest him then push our luck and have him miss more time. Plus, Devin Smith is coming in and Kerley is taking over for Owusu. We'd be better with Decker in but I am pretty excited to see Smith. I think Smith as a burner, Marshall doing his thing and Kerley in the slot is still a good combination.
This is the first time in a "long" time the Jets are able to absorb a number of injuries. We have good dept at the WR and RB spots. I think this is a fine chance for Kerley to re-establish himself as a part of this offense and I have faith in Enunwa. The real question is what are we going to see in terms of how the offense is run. I'm hoping we don't have to see more CuCumberland but I get the feeling he's going to be more in the mix lining up as a WR today.
I personally think we can win this game without Ivory and Decker and wouldn't play them unless needed. No point getting them hurt when our Division Games haven't started and we are 2-0.
Wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of Powell out there today, if not only due to Ivory's injury, but also to have another receiving threat in Decker's absence. Gailey does like to put the RB in the slot a bit.
It's going to be very interesting, and telling, to see the breakdown in snaps between D. Smith and J. Kerley. In theory, Smith was held back last week because he's not mentally ready. If he comes out today and gets more reps than Kerley, what does that say about Kerley?
Seems like Kerley is in the dog house for some reason. I mean he's not a great receiver but he's not bad either.
Nope. Our two idiot beat writers (Mehta & Cimini) are more worried about Drew Brees and how he could help us win a ring in 2016. All we need is Mo to play well for all that to happen.
