I know it's early, but Todd Bowles has really impressed me, and I love the fact that I don't think he will keep us focused...... He also makes adjustments during games, something Rexy never did......
Dan Lebtard would like a word with you. http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:13723948 He is 'fascinated' by a coach finding out that in real games the second string guy might just be enough to accomplish the team goals.
Bowles called the defense monday night (which was not the case week 1). it looks like he and kacy will be alternating based on opponent and familiararity?
Dammit, I liked Lebetard too. What a moronic rant. The dude missed the last 4 weeks of training camp, didnt play a single preseason game and has barely even practiced and he should be anointed back into the starting spot over the guy who's 2-0? Staying with a winning formula instead of recklessly changing your starting quarterback for no apparent reason is "fake leadership"? And now both wins are a result of "fumble luck". The Jets have been at the bottom of fumble recoveries by far the last 2 seasons combined. In 2013 they recovered an unbelievable 11.11% of possible fumbles, lowest in the league by far. Welcome to mean regression, buddy.
Jets might be lucky to recover 8 fumbles but it took skill to create those fumbles besides the one by Frank Gore.
Mangini was our savior in his foes season Rex Ryan blah blah, wait till we lose a couple games and they'll call for his job
Know what I like? The Jets are 2-0, the D has been unbelievable, the O acceptable and the coach isn't bloviating and making asinine predictions.
Such a shame. The kid's stick-to-it-iveness was such a good feel story. Good motor, great kid. Something though suggests this is a neuroogical time bomb ticking giving the "sensitivity to light……migranes….don't remember what happened" comments. I don't want him getting long-term hurt.
This season I'm bypassing the blowhards. I just poke around here a little bit, glance at stats, watch the games, the press conferences and anything else I find on newyorkjets.com. The sports media is really stretching to try to make WWE style storylines out of the NY Jets, but Bowles isn't having it. I really hope he just keeps winning.
