Anyone else believe 10-6 is truly realistic?

    I am not posting this as an expectation, but as a legitimate possibility. We will be favoured over Cleveland this w/e and after the bye we have winnable games against Green Bay, Houston, Miami, Buffalo, and Oakland. If we don't repeat the Jacksonville performance and none of those teams come out on fire and play perfect games, I think they will all be winnable for us.

    Minnesota, Chicago, and New England are the hard games after the bye week, and I think they maybe can even take Minnesota with a great performance.

    We need to find a way to keep playing good defence in the second half (meaning the defence has looked good in the 1st half of games sometimes then allowed teams to have their way after half time), and something needs to be done to get more pressure on QBs. If we could get this D to look a little more like 2004, these Jets can be a darn good team, not just an overachieving surprise team.

    Yes, definitly. We should be able to take every team on our schedule other than Minnesota, Chicago and NE. I am very surprised with Minnesota lately especially after beating Seattle. However, I am sure we will lose one of our games on the road that we should win.

    Hate to say this 'cause I really want to see the Jets win, but they really haven't put up a good game for 4 quarters on both sides of the ball. Don't think that Buffalo and Miami are going to lay down for the Jets, it's very possible for both of those teams to beat us. Houston just beat Jax, who killed us, yeah I know every team can have a good game that goes their way. Same thing could happen with Green Bay...do you really think that Brett Favre is going to lay down for the Jets.

    Hate to sound like a Mangini, but the jets have to play better, more consistent ball on both sides of the line. They should only look to the next team and plan for that opponent. They are not good enough to let up one bit.

    I know this sounds crazy but...

    I could see the Jets winning or losing any of the games left on the schedule.

    I could see them beating the Bears, I could see them losing to Miami.

    I could see them beating the Patriots, losing to the Packers.

    Only game I am pretty sure of is a win over the Raiders week 17, but with the Jets, you never know.

    This team can easily win 10 games, and maybe more. I've seen enough so far that proves they're on the right track. This is a decent offense, and with the exception of the Jag game, pretty much have moved the ball successfully all season. Barring key injuries, they can only get better in the coming months. Plus the sched is not that hard. With Leon Washington running like he did yesterday, the sky is the limit for this team. The one intagible, is they believe in Mangini, and are playing like a team, and thats half the battle.

    Yup, Jets will make the playoffs. They will be anywhere from 10-6 to 12-4 most likely. All they gotta do is continue to beat up on the bad teams as they have been. And I have a good feeling this Jets can beat NE after the bye with 2 weeks to prepare. If they win there, the jets take the division.
    A 1-5 team favored over a 4-3 team, how do you figure? Not possible.

    They're home and they've had a tough schedule vs. our relatively easy one.

    I'd be a whole lot healthier if I was as optimistic as you are man.

    We're 3-3 now. We do not have enough "bad teams" on our schedule to beat up on to go 12-4. CHI/NE/MIN are all better than us.

    In my estimation, we'll be, Vegas line (if I was setting them, I can be dead wrong on this weeks game)

    @Cleveland: -1 (us as favorite)
    @NE: +8
    Chicago: +9
    Houston: -4
    @GB: -2
    Buffalo: -6
    @Minnesota: +7
    @Miami: -3
    Oakland: -6

    What does this mean? We won't win all these games against "Bad teams"...

    My prediction? 8-8 or 9-7.

    :up:

    Not that I disagree with you, but we do have one more win. I actually expect us to end up with 8 wins, 9 if we are lucky.

    I know this sounds crazy, but I could care less how many we win or lose, but if we lose to Oakland I am going to have to crawl into a bunker until next season. We will never hear the end of it from Jeauxseph. :rofl: :raiders:

    Could be good. Nothing wrong with playing with a chip on your shoulder.

    No need to feel good if you are the Jets.

    Still not getting any respect. I think I like that.

    Hard to believe the Browns are favoured, but I think we'll spank them nonetheless.

    I think 10-6 is a very distinct possibility. I could see us losing one of the easy games, maybe to Houston. But I have a feeling we'll win @ Minnesota.
