Tom Brady: -4 Time Super Bowl Champion* -3 Time Super Bowl MVP* -6 Super Bowl Appearances * -2 Time NFL MVP -10 Pro Bowl Appearances -2 Time 1st Team All-Pro QB Peyton Manning: -1 Time Super Bowl Champion -1 Time Super Bowl MVP -3 Super Bowl Appearances -5 Time NFL MVP -14 Pro Bowl Appearances -7 Time 1st Team All-Pro QB It is a tough choice. Both are the best of their generation. Who would you choose to lead your team?
SB wins mean nothing until that time when the QB is the only one that plays...as it is their first three were won by the kicker so meaningless stat.
Many people point to 4 SB wins to 1 as to why Brady is the better QB. Clearly Peyton owns all of the QB stats. So when people choose Brady as better, they are saying he is the better QB due to team stats.
If I was given the plays and formations and headset feed and was playing with nerf balls, I might have a SB or 2. _
One for the majority of his career played with an above average defense the other carried his teams for the majority of his career due to having a below average defense.
Peyton Manning in his prime vs Brady in his prime was a better QB. Tom Brady has had a better coach and defense throughout his career and also benefited from systematic cheating. Superbowls are team accomplishments. Brady is the better QB today but that's only because Manning is washed up and should have retired.
Naw, pride won't let him. He'll get shot up with whatever it takes to finish then walk away. Unless he takes one big shot and can say he's hurt and it's over.
Peyton had more natural talent and was better in his prime. Brady tended to perform slightly better in clutch conditions. I don't think Peyton's body is reacting to his injuries well. So without the neck injury he'd probably not lose a thing. By the time this issue is "settled" we'll be talking about someone else as the best ever.
